Progress Report/Poll Results
Added 2022-05-10 07:34:17 +0000 UTCAlright! I had thought about doing another sitrep post for this month...but by the time I could do that we were only like a day and a half out of the polls being done. So, I decided to just roll everything into a progress report/poll result post. That being said, this needs to be said quickly for anyone that somehow missed it the numerous times I said it last month:
I'm doing a Hard Reset this month. What this means is that there will, barring exceptional circumstances, NOT be a delay for Haven's Port. It will release by midnight on May 31st come proverbial (hopefully proverbial) hell or high water. This is intended to help shake off the 5-6 days of delay that's been haunting releases since freaking January. This MAY mean a smaller than normal Haven's Port release. Though I'll do my best to get as close to the usual size as possible.
Okay, with that said...more specific stuff, starting with poll results.
Haven's Port Focus Poll
This one was both straightforward and utterly predicable :-p. More Chastity Content won with 61% of the total vote. So, any scenes I can squeeze in beyond the Primary Goals for the month will be focused on adding more chastity-enabled content!
Short Story Poll
This one was a bit more of a wild ride, where the result was both a bit unexpected by me (actually a LOT unexpected) and very much came down to the weighted voting that goes into this poll. On the surface, Mass Effect:Final Error and An App for That would have tied. But, once we crank in the weighted voting...
*****
An App For That - 93
Mass Effect Final Error: 76
The Naughty Aunt's Notebook: 43.33
Galactic Nomad: 40
The Long Haul - 15
Lyriel's Adventures - 13.33
Andrea of the Silver Key - 3.33
*****
Well, you can clearly see what happened. Mass Effect: Final Error had a strong showing, but An App for That pulled ahead by virtue of the weighted voting. Strangely, my own votes (I only give myself votes comparable to a Royalty Tier patron, so I don't actually have a big effect on the poll) were split between those two stories. Mostly as those would be the two easiest for me to write this month. Given that I split my votes between them...it ultimately ended up being a complete wash. I might as well not have voted at all *sweatdrop*.
I must admit, An App for That winning took me genuinely by surprise. It had only a modest amount of popularity in last month's poll. Go figure. Either way, I'm actually quite pleased with the result, since one of the easier stories to knock out walked away with this month's victory, which will make it less stressful that I've decided to go ahead and do both shorts this month (more on that in a bit).
Mixed Media/Comic Poll:
This one honestly didn't surprise me...because I legit had no idea which way the chips would fall. That said, I'm actually fairly pleased that Stranded on Silas Station took the victory with 2/3rds of the vote. Mostly as it will allow us to get to a natural stopping point with that story. That doesn't mean it has to end. But it will be a natural endpoint if the consensus is that we move on to something new. I also have it almost entirely mapped out already, even having already acquired most of the assets. Though I'll need to track down one or two still.

Progress Report
-------------------------------------------
Okay, sorry, I know this is making the post kinda long. So I'll try to keep this bit short.
Haven's Port:
Not much to say here yet. I only just started renders for it today. I will drop a quick reminder here that the primary goals for this month are to wrap up the Date Content for the Main Island and to fix some early-game imbalance that was pointed out to me. Essentially, the early game needs more lesbian-based stat-earning options. In point of fact, that's where I started my rendering today. Mostly as knocking those out will be fastish. Hopefully.
Short Story:
Mwhahahaha. Shockingly, I have something to report here. The second, non-poll short story for the month...is already almost done! I had an idea that I really kinda wanted to write and ended up knocking out almost 4k words of it in the last two days, between working on other bits. I actually expect the draft to be done tonight. So hopefully you'll see it up in the next couple of days. The fact that this is the case...is also why I decided not to hold back on the Short Stories this month, despite the time deficit from the Left Hand Magic delays. the other portion, of course, is that Haven's Port is a lot easier on me when it comes to squeezing in time for other rewards. So, look forward to a new story along with An App for That!
Short Comic:
I haven't even started renders yet. Which is actually fine. Due to poll voting, I usually only get started on them around the 10th normally, so nothing unusual there. I also have a solid plan going into this one, with one 1 or 2 assets I still need to acquire. I plan on seeking out those assets and starting on the renders later today (the 10th).
Wallpapers:
Renders are done, knocked them out yesterday. But...well..um...you all know I tend to procrastinate doing the typesetting. Because I hate typesetting. Like, genuinely, honest-to-pancakes hate it. I'll...try not to procrastinate too long this time...probably...maybe...I hate typesetting...
