Quick Progress Report 2

*Update* Okay, yeah, after starting testing I discovered a bunch of issues with my Renpy installation. I've got them fixed now, but it took too much time and I've only just started testing. Thankfully, I did get everything else done. So, unless something major pops up, the release will be this evening. Sorry folks. No way I could have seen this one coming, since I'm still not even sure how it happened at all.

So, I've very rarely been more grateful for the fact that I'm fairly paranoid about backups than I am at the moment. I was wrapping up the editing...and realized the last two scenes I'd programmed/written were missing from the main development copy of the game. After some frantic searching through my backups, I heaved a huge sigh of relief to discover that whatever happened (I still have ZERO clue how it could have happened. The scenes aren't even next to each other in the code), the backups had been spared. Which let me restore the code/writing from the backups back into the main development copy. 

Unfortunately, while it's good nothing was lost (which would have cost me DAYS to redo), it still cost me a fair bit of time to restore everything. And it's going to cost me even more time as I have to do a more thorough test now to make sure nothing else went wrong. Since I have seriously no idea how it happened in the first place. No, really. It makes zero sense. Particularly as the audio files and extra renders I made as I was going along were all still there and organized properly. It's only the rpy files that were effected. I'm confused as heck about what happened, even if I think I recovered it all. So I'm going to be running more testing than usual to be sure nothing else went wrong without me noticing. 

Net result? I might still make the release this AM. But depending on how testing goes, I might not. Unless something wasn't recovered, I don't see any reason it would take longer than the evening (the 6th) before the release though. This post is just because of the notice of the possible minor delay by another 12 hoursish.
