Alright! Since the polls aren't done yet (go vote if you haven't!), there's not a whole lot to report yet. Aside from the renders for the Wallpapers, which are done and I'm just procrastinating doing the typesetting again because I both hate it and suck at it, the work I've done so far is all for Left Hand Magic.
Thankfully, so far that work is 100% on schedule. Slightly ahead even. Though I don't expect that to last. I knocked out the first 4 scenes, the mostly-non-sexual scenes, first. And I just finished the last render for those 4 scenes a little bit ago. I'm actually planning on tackling a couple of renders for a fifth scene tonight as well, as I know I will be losing some time tomorrow (for a doctor's appointment). Hopefully, getting the first couple of renders for that scene done will allow me to keep pace with my current productivity levels, essentially finishing one scene a day. Render wise, at least.
The plan is to try keep that up until the first 8 scenes are completely rendered. The other 6 will all be animation scenes, which will take a minimum of two days per scene (1 day per animation, 2 animations per scene). Meanwhile, I will be attempting to squeeze the programming and writing for the first 8 scenes into whatever free time I can manage around the other rewards. If I can get those scenes all coded and written before I do the animation scenes, and if I can knock out all of the other rewards before roughly the 24th, then there is a solid chance that I can wrap everything planned up on time this month.
The problem with those ifs, of course, is that if anything goes seriously wrong anywhere, then the delicate house of cards that is this month's schedule topples. In truth, I'm not going to be at all surprised if Left Hand Magic runs 1-3 days into next month. That's not the plan, of course, but I can usually count on something going wrong enough somewhere to cause about that much delay. In fact, in normal months (what are those again?), I actually plan for about 3 days worth of delays or fucks up to occur. Which is how, historically, delays for game releases by me were rare. It's only been the domino effect from December/January's clusterfuck that has messed that up. A domino effects that I'm doing my best to end as soon as possible. As I said in the Sitrep for April, I will be ending that domino effect at the end of May, one way or another, even if it means a smaller release of May's content.
