A Quick Progress Report

Okay, this is mostly good news, but only mostly. By the time I crash in an hour or so, I should have all the programming, writing and editing done for Haven's Port Build 13. That just leaves the testing/bugfix and upload for tonight. The writing in particular did take longer than I'd have liked, but it's largely done.

The bad news is that, if things take as long as they could, it might technically not be ready until past midnight. Normally, I'd say that meant that it would simply be an early AM release on the first, which is a pretty minimal delay that most of you know happens from time to time. Unfortunately, it might not be quite that straightforward this time. As it happens, my ISP sent out a maintenance notification several days back. They're doing some major system upgrades today that will improve overall stability, which is nice. But they are MAJOR upgrades, that are going to take the system offline entirely from midnight to 5am. At least. They picked those times since most normal people are, you know, asleep.

Unfortunately, I'm not a normal person in that regard. If I don't get the uploads done by midnight, we might be looking at a later-day release on the first. Like, late afternoon or early evening. Still not a huge delay, all things considered. But I did want to make sure everyone was aware of the possibility. Hopefully, bugfix won't be too bad this time and I can just get it up before the maintenance period. But, I can't be certain of that.
