Yeah, sorry about harassing all of you with that reminder, but it really is IMPORTANT that I get as much data as possible on what all of you like before I start whittling down my many ideas to the ones you guys will ultimately get to choose from. With that out of the way...the first short story reward for the month is done!
As I mentioned in the last progress report, I'm not 100% happy with how this little experiment turned out. There's nothing wrong with it...it was just VERY hard to keep things from being really confusing. And I'm not 100% sure I succeeded in that. I'll likely have to come up with a slightly different format if I want to keep going with this one. For now, I hope what I have isn't too disappointing! I think it's decent, but it's also a bit less...storyish? If that were a word, it's a bit less storyish than most of my work. Still, part of the point with the second story of the month not being a poll story is to allow me to experiment a bit, and this wasn't a bad result from such experimenting. At least I don't think so :-p.
