Updates - Various

Alright! I'd actually intended to post this yesterday...but I was uncertain what to do with the fact that The Elven Maid poll came out as a tie. On that note:

The Elven Maid - Normally, I just go with my personal preference when ties occur...except I don't actually have a personal preference in this case. The two options that tied were my two preferred options. I think I've settled on the 'strike a balance' option, since it's the most directly relevant to the tone of the novel going forward.

The other option will likely appear again farther down the line, though likely only once more since getting too much farther into the story without Galyn making a choice about the other women won't hold water story-wise very well. Time is moving along in the story and it's not the sort of thing someone could put off for long without problems. Maybe if he was a dim-witted, indecisive, harem-anime protagonist...but he isn't. He's an intelligent, socially aware merchant. He's not going to risk fucking up his household by stringing things along. So, expect a final decision lock-in within just a couple more polls....

Eros Academy - As you can see by the post image, I haven't been idle on Eros Academy. I'd actually wanted to be done with the update by now, but there were some complications. I had to wipe my O.S. due to some problems that had built up over time...and restoring DAZ3D and the Eros Academy project files to working order after I did that was a looonnngg process(made worse by the fact that it also meant migrating from Daz 4.9 to 4.10). Nothing was LOST, really, since I planned this fresh installation out ahead of time. Though, a few assets aren't working right still... They aren't critical ones, though. There's also some good news in that I redid the project files onto a faster HDD, so render times should be a bit better. 

Anyway, I have a 9-render scene already completed. But, even if this wasn't an extended release reward month, I'm planning to do a second 5 or so render scene. I've been trying to build up the random encounters when I can...and this will be another one. A little tamer than some, I'm afraid, but not every scene can be super-kinky.

The Sexy Cosplay Cafe - Okay, I've gotta admit I'm super depressed about the overall reaction (or total lack of in most cases) to the first release of the game. Not you guys! I seriously appreciate that the one poll I ran regarding it was completely weighted toward the 'like and don't mind the art' option. It's the reaction everywhere else that has sucked. 

The f95 zone population, which have been pretty decent abut Eros Academy...kinda ripped into it negatively all the way around. It got down voted with no comments on the Lewdgames reddit (which I think was the F95zone guys that I got into an argument with, since that pretty much never happens on that reddit), and there's been no response at all from the various other forums that I posted about it on. Given the amount of work I put into it, even before I started when I went around those same forums and reddits to ask people what kind of game they really wanted...well I think you can see why I've been a little down about the lack of reaction.

Which doesn't mean I'm giving up on it...not yet at least. First releases often get skipped over just about everywhere, so I fully intend on hanging tough for at least a couple of releases! It just means that I...had to take a bit of a break. Meaning, I haven't been working on new art yet. This was farther complicated by the fact that my normal backup paranoid failed me...and I didn't backup the settings in the various art programs I've been using when I wiped my computer. I've restored the software I do lineart with, mostly, but the coloring software...#%#^. I lost the brush packs and stuff I'd been using, so I'm going to be starting from scratch again there. *sigh*

Anyway, expect to see at least one or two new pieces of art (focusing on Serena this time) pop up before the end of the month.
