Yet Another Quick Update

...WTF patreon. Seriously? What the actual fuck? It replaced my first paragraph with a copy of the last, for no apparent reason. So...here's my attempt to remember what I wrote -_-.

I finished putting in all the new scenes early yesterday, even if I haven't tested any of them yet. I've no moved on to hacking in the new code that I need elsewhere to make other stuff work.

The fact that I finished the previous step early is probably good, since I jumped into implementing the new system that I've been a bit cagey about. It involves needing to make a major code insert in pretty much every single significant Naomi scene throughout the entire game...and it's proving even more time consuming than I imagined it to be. Still, since it's also allowing me to make very subtle alterations to the text of repeat events to reflect her status as your girlfriend (not as many as I'd like, but I've already bitten off more than I can chew, can't add on even more at this point), I'm powering through. 

The goal is still to put out a working version on the 24th (or early AM on the 25th)...but I call it a 'working version' for a reason. The changes to the code are so utterly sweeping and pervasive that I'd be utterly disbelieving of there not being a fair number of bugs, no matter how much I test it. Assuming people actually report them, I'm planning to make another update with a bug swatted version. I'll try to keep the need for that to a minimum though. 

A final warning...I haven't tested some of the new code yet, and I'm not sure it will actually do what I want it to. It SHOULD...but Ren'py's code structure is basically designed from the ground up to be the worse nightmare of a C language family programmer (which is me), so I won't know if I've gotten it right until I can test it all. I know it compiles...or ren'py's primitive version of compiling at any rate. But I won't no more until I start testing. So there's still the possibility of an extra day or three of delay should the worse happen and everything explodes horribly when I test it.
