He couldn't hear them from where he was, but she does have a slight accent. She stresses her T's a bit too much, for example. He'll explain what caused his confusion soon enough.

Not quite, but I like the clues you bring up! Remember the Old Southern Tongue that the Zizumbira favor? Palladesian is the OST on steroids, basically. It boasts a much wider vocabulary thanks to words borrowed from languages around the world, but it's the same language. The two peoples do indeed share history.

I'm guessing that the village Kizarasunga came from was a banished group from Palladesia, and that red hair is a common trait there. Which would explain how she knows the language. Perhaps this is what Jintu was researching in that big book of his ;)
