What To Expect: April 2022

March was... more eventful than planned. XD

So, Ataribetch wrote back to me, early in the month, apologizing for disappearing for 2 months (it was due to having COVID, long story short), and he showed up with a few sketches. 

The problem, however, was that by then, I already decided to hire a new artist, due to the inactivity, so I made a compromise that I was hoping would benefit everyone (the artists, the readers/patrons, etc.): Eli would work pages for Moonlit Brew proper while Ataribetch would work solely on Moonlit Grind pages to make up for what's being owed.

Unfortunately, I haven't heard from him in almost 3 weeks, and this was exactly why I had that plan in place; this way, you would still receive MB content from Eli (the new artist), regardless of what's going on, should something like this happen again, which, as of writing this post, has unfortunately been the case, so far.  

I'm kinda getting frustrated, at this point, so here's what I'm going to do: I'm going to give him the entire month of April to finish these owed pages (so, a total of 6 MG pages, 2 of which have already been sketched and uploaded), and if I don't see anything by the time May 1st rolls around, I will have Eli make those pages for us, effectively making them the full-time artist proper. In the meantime, Eli and I have plans on making non-comic-related NSFW Moonlit Brew drawings for the month, so be on the lookout for those!

So, this month is going to be ACES Chapter 2 Pages 39 and 40 with ACESEXY Pages 14 and 15, and Moonlit Brew Chapter 6 Pages 2 and 3! That much, I can guarantee, this month, but hopefully AB will pull through and those MG pages will get done, too. If not, then we got a backup plan in place for next month.

Aside from comic-related shenanigans, I had to pay 3 grand to get a bridge, after this new dentist I went to wouldn't just give me a replacement cap when a Milk Dud ripped it off my teeth when I was at the movies (it wasn't even my first or second choice of candy when I was there. :/ ). Thankfully, I had enough in my savings to where I was able to easily pay it off, but it was BS that my healthcare provider wouldn't cover it, at all, because they consider any dental work that isn't on the front teeth as "cosmetic"... Soooo I guess being able to chew your goddamn food normally is considered "cosmetic" to them? :/

But I digress. On the bright side, Ship of Harkinian finally released to the masses, and I can't wait to see what a 60FPS Ocarina of Time is going to look like! Also looking forward to seeing if my local Round1 gets those Chunithm cabs, even though they're literally leftovers from the Japanese locations that replaced them with the newer cabs... plz give us the newer cabs, eventually. ;-;
