Reiju is a deck that feels like she should be good, but couldn’t quite become meta. When the bans were announced, some thought that this deck would be tier 0. I believe that this is largely due to the fact that Reiju as a deck has always been that 1 step away from being meta in Japan in OP08, gated mostly by RP Law. Once RP Law disappeared it felt like the possibilities for this deck were endless, but it hit another wall in Black Yellow Luffy.
Regardless, the deck has a lot of p...

Hey guys! Kai (@ikailakai) here with an in-depth guide on how to win Sealed Battles more often. Sealed Battles have a general perception that they come down to luck. If your packs are good, you win, if your packs are bad, you lose. However, I believe that this is only partially true. If you have great fundamentals as a player and deck builder, you can play and build your way out of any situation and win much more ofte...

Nationals is just 2 weeks away, so it’s just about time to really start locking in deck choices, and making final adjustments to our decks.
After the Enies Lobby ban, I honestly thought Lucci was going to fall off. Not even because Enies Lobby is gone, but I thought Reiju was projected to replace RP Law as a top 3 deck. So I thought the meta would go from a triangle of Good RP Law beats BY Luffy, BY Luffy beats Lucci, and Lucci beats RP Law, to L...

Earlier this week RP Law leader & Lucci’s Ennies Lobby had OFFICIALLY been banned. Only two cards were hit, yet these changes seem to have a HUGE impact on the meta.
My quick summary of the change in the meta is that the fall-off of RP Law, has led to the rise of Reiju. And the assumed fall-of of Lucci, will have decks such as Bonney, Blue Doffy, Boa, Red/Green Law, etc. becoming popular. And random 4-life leaders, like Perona, will no l...

Last weekend, I got another top 8!!
RP Law was traumatizing me, so I decided to let Perona go after GenCon, and switched to Lucci.
I always secretly thought Lucci was the strongest deck, and it absolutely overperformed for me last weekend. I beat most of my mirror matches, all of my Morias, all of my RP Laws, and I even beat 2 out of 3 BY Luffy decks. And the BY Luffy loss was 1-2, with me losing with lower deck count in time!

Similar to the last set, the Morias of this set seem to be split on whether to run removal cards like Ice Age or not.
LuffyTV recently got 2nd place with this Moria list: https://x.com/TheLuffyTV/status/1819538076256841823 ,and as you can see it utilizes zero ice ages, and instead focuses on value Morias, and RebHina + 6Sakazuki to c...

After having two of my losses be RP Law on back-to-back days, I decided to switch to Lucci, from Perona, for the Gencon tournament on Sunday. I learned some concepts that will help further my Perona run, by having played it in the Thursday & Saturday tournaments, but I deeply regret not having played Lucci the entire weekend.
Whenever people ask me what I think the best deck is(even during my Perona cope), I always said Lucci. I think this deck is just...

We finally made some progress with Perona. I know Kai has been preaching for Perona for a minute now, and I DO believe the deck is strong. But I don’t believe the current Perona lists are capable of beating GOOD Lucci & Perona players.
And I know there’s gonna be some of y’all claiming that you always beat Lucci. And I’mma have to tell y’all that your Lucci testing partner might be a bot(at least in the Perona matchup).<...

Hey guys, how yall doing, today we are looking at my take on Lucci deckbuilding.
I know I have publicly, primarily been coping with Rebecca, but I’ve done a lot of research into other decks, including Lucci.
I have seen 50 different people say 50 different things about Lucci, and it’s been hard to get any real direction on this deck.
Even Noel, who reminded me that IceAge is a card to consider in Lucci: 2024-07-23 14:00:17 +0000 UTC View Post
Hi there, Kai (@ikailakai) here with an in-depth guide on my OP07 leader of choice, Perona. Perona is a leader that has always been part of my identity in recent sets. I pride myself in helping develop the standard version of Perona in OP06 in the ‘Spam 10 cost Doflamingo and pray’ list.
In Japan, Perona has never been a meta staple, but nonetheless, I have managed to go 7-2 with Perona in OP06, and 7-1 with her once again in OP07....

CrossAi (@Cross_Aii) here, and today we are going to be taking a last look at Red/Purple Law in OP06. OP07 content is right around the corner, so before we transition, I’d like to finish up my thoughts on the OP06 post-ban format. The first deck we’ll talk about here is Red/Purple Law.

Hey guys, Cross (@Cross_Aii) here, and today we are going to be looking at Ivankov! I did a video showcasing Ivankov on my YouTube not too long ago. Hopefully y’all enjoyed that list, but the deck gets much better than what I have shown.

Thanks to this card, this deck is actually very strong now. Drawing 2 cards may have not been enough in the past, even when ev...

Hey guys, Cross (@Cross_Aii) here, and today we are going to be looking at Gurple Doflamingo! This is a deck I assumed was not good, but actually seems to be one of the strongest choices going into Mesquite when you consider all the variants for it.
I doubt this deck will have any real play at Mesquite, but I think one of its biggest incentives is being able to demolish R/P Law.
And some people will tell me “if you don’t draw Bird Cage you lose,â...

Hey guys, Cross (@Cross_Aii) here, and today we are going to be looking at Red/Purple Law!
This is certainly going to be THE deck at Mesquite. If your deck loses to R/P Law, you have very low chances of winning the tournament, and for all we know R/P Law might just win the whole thing…
These series of deck articles that I am releasing between today and tomorrow will be rather short, so the comments will be open for any questions.

I don't stream my tournaments, so I guess the new standard will be uploading gameplay mid tournament LMAO.
Against Whitebeard you want to focus more on defense than offense. Thanks to Moria & 3 Cost Brooks, it's very easy to COMPLETELY control the opponent's board.
Rush Ace (Getting aggro'd by trigger characters and a lucky rush ace is one way to lose)
Yamato Value (Least important reason, but you can force bad Yamato's)
Raigo (This is one of the biggest reasons, I like to wait for a big unit to stick before I swi...
Hope everyone is good. Today we are going to be talking about THREE COST BROOK. A lot of people have mixed opinions on this card, or don’t really understand it. So I thought it would be good to make it’s own article. Let’s look at it.

Hope everyone is doing great, I finish Top 64 cut not too long ago, I got slowplayed to a loss in Top 16, but we still achieved Top 16 with the craziest Sakazuki list! I believe between NA, Japan, and Europe there are literally NO OTHER Sakazuki lists like this that have topped before, so it’s pretty insane for someone to achieve this result.
Enough yap, let’s go ahead and look at the list.
Hi, Kai (@ikailakai) here with a new guide that maybe people weren’t expecting. Originally I wanted to do an Uta guide, as when I made the first part of the Uta guide, I mentioned wanting to make an updated version for EB01. However, it turns out that Uta essentially plays the same in EB01, so an update was not needed. I still believe that for Uta, the best way to play her is with 8 cost Kid, and this is supported by a new film 2 cost blocker as well. Adding this new blocker and the film Sa...

How are y’all doing, today we are going to be looking at Sakazuki post-EB01. Based on the current tops it seems like the deck has remained mostly the same. And I actually didn’t change my decklist at all. But after doing some more testing this week, there is a new card I’m considering, I believe I have reached a near-complete consensus on stage vs. non-stage, and there is a new matchup that we must be aware of.
If you want to see the reaso...

Hey guys, CrossAi (@Cross_Aii) here, and today we are doing a special kind of article. Typically, I only do deck-guides & decklists, but for those who like to do even more extra thinking, I wanted to present some theory today.

Hi Again!
Kai (@ikailakai) here with a tournament report. I like to do these articles to talk about why I chose a deck, my meta read, why I teched certain cards, and then how my matches went.
The goal of these kinds of articles is to give some insight into how I prepare for a tournament, and how I play certain awkward positions and don’t get fatigued after 12 games. I would do these more, but there are not many tournaments in Japan. This is my first 3v3 tournament that I’ve be...

Another Moria update!! Hope you are all doing great, CrossAi (@Cross_Aii) here, and today we are going to be looking at an update to Moria! Unfortunately for all the hardcore Moria copers, there won’t be a surplus of Moria content this format. There’s too many decks I am interesting in writing about, but this will be a positive thing for all the non-diehard Moria players!
My Moria deck is going to be way different than the ones you have se...
