Now you know this new guy's name. I'll elaborate on how Big Tex came to be: when I was writing this chapter, I was randomly browsing the Gravity Falls wiki, and I read somewhere that Lil Gideon was loosely based on the Family Auto Mart guy that Alex Hirsch saw as a kid, when he went on a trip to Florida.

I was never fortunate to have vacations far outside of California, when I was a kid (The only handful of times were either in Las Vegas {usually because one of my sisters were getting married, or the time my oldest sister was living there}, or when I was in Tijuana for a day {usually a small part of when I was in San Diego}), but I do remember seeing plenty of Cal Worthington commercials on TV, for the longest time; he always wore a cowboy hat, and there are older commercials where he actually walked tigers and all that other jazz. In other words, he walked so the Family Auto Mart guy could run. XD

I usually write dialogue for a character before I think long and hard about what they would look like, and as was writing the rest of this scene, I thought to myself, "Maybe this guy should have a Southern accent, have the cowboy-esque attire, and look like someone who would want to be your friend.", and by the time I finally made a solid foundation, I think I might've also subconsciously based this character's personality off of Wander from Wander Over Yonder.

It's hilarious because I also based Val's personality off of Lord Dominator, so the fact that I made these 2 characters that are the antithesis of the very people I based their quirks off of is ironic, and if you're confused with what I am saying, it'll make more sense, by the end of the chapter.
