ACES: Chapter 1 Page 33 FINAL
Added 2020-08-22 05:58:48 +0000 UTCSo, when I was writing this scene, I actually had a bit of trouble trying to write how to specifically show what makes Val and especially Frankie and Alfred special and why they would be perfect as ACES agents; at this point, Val's talents practically writes itself, but how do you show a zombie character that doesn't die, visually, in a semi-realistic setting?
I thought about having the knife stick on the side of Frankie's head, but I figured I would get complaints from people along the lines of, "If he's a zombie, shouldn't he be dead from being stabbed in the brain?", so I went with the neck instead, since that would obviously kill someone in real life, but not to where a zombie would theoretically die from it.
Alfred's was the hardest to write because you could go so many routes with showing how smart he is, yet not wanting to really fight hand-to-hand, while making it interesting at the same time. So, I came up with him playing 2 video games at once, since there are people who could read a book fast by having each of their eyes reading through both pages at the same time, so why not have him do something similar with vidya?
11 pages left; it's exciting we'll finally get to see more of these characters, once we reach chapter 2, but it's bittersweet because I will have to look for another artist once this chapter finishes. I have someone in mind, but I don't know if they will be available by then, but on the bright side, if I need to resort to another artist search, I can just tell interested parties that I want to maintain this art style, because I can't see this comic in any other style than this one.
