Or it's a pre-recorded video, that can either be found, is shown to you, or something like that. Addition to the generator room? Findable video tape? Who knows but DS and other people behind the scenes. I seriously doubt we'll see em in person, Despite their shadowed appearance, they appear to be still human, which shouldn't be possible, so I doubt they're alive or untransfurred today.
