Given that its internet is highly surveilled. Ever wonder why almost every single site in china require a log-in even to view content? It's a mandate of it's “Real-name System”: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real-name_system (use a VPN to access that site, and ONLY if you don't have such surveillance software on your computer). I've herd about authorities forcing people to install BXAQ, Feng Cai and IJOP onto their phones. I have a feeling they would do the same on other devices like laptops.
