Jake & Ollie - No Nut November

For December I wanna take a break and spend time with my family, I won't have much time to draw so there won't be much for the month; expect some Christmas related drawings sometime during the month tho :PP

Phew, I'm finally done with this. I could have finished this a week earlier but I chose to push myself doing this and do the best thing I could :P I hope it paid off! I reaaally put a lot of time onto this 😅
I learned a bunch doing these pages; most of the process was spent experimenting, I fully rendered the first panel three times, the third try convinced me and I went with it for the rest of the whole comic.
I really like this rendering style, it's simple, straight forward, and good looking (I'm sure I could make it even more simple tho, it still takes considerable amount of time to render each drawing).
I noticed that bold color choices make the impression that a drawing is more worked than it actually is lol. Really, these drawings have just 3 colors for every object. I noticed I enjoy doing a simple rendering work, that resonates better with me.
I will keep experimenting tho, you never know when you'll find a new and enjoyable way of drawing (I'm sorry for the inconsistency in that aspect btw 🥲)
About formatting, I tried to be experimental with it as well. Doing more close-ups and a sequence of panels in the second page to try to give a sense of movement. I think the close ups are good and they were the fastest part to render. I also like the sequence of 3 panels, I think it conveys the movement fairly well.
About dialogue display, I wanted to do something non-invasive that would show more of the drawings. My main inspiration for this dialogue formatting is the great artist Dangpa! In some of his drawings he uses that type of floating dialogue format, so, props to him!!
So ye, good drawings, wish i could do them faster tho :P
