Cynthia (Starburst) in fur 02

Hey, remember this drawing I posted in January of Cynthia Robinson (AKA Starburst) in a pose inspired by a Jayne Mansfield photo? Well, I did a color version of it!

I used the "pastel" tool in Clip Studio Paint Ex to render this pic, because I wanted to try some new techniques and looks for my work. I thinK I did OK, but what do you think?

(weird - every time I type "i" on Patreon pages it comes out uppercase, and italics don't show up.)

First, check your email. You got an important email late last night............ Secondly, while this is a terrific and beautiful pose of Cynthia-my initial response is that it gives the impression of being a PAINTING, rather then a "picture" of her. It gives the impression Cynthia posed for an actual and experienced canvas artist with old fashioned canvas, brushes and paint-and this was the result. Which I think is the intent behind the Pastel tool in the first place. Which is not a criticism-quite the contrary, I think it provides a wonderful contrast in-story to visuals that are "real life images" such as photos and videos-and visuals that are not, such as paintings. This allows for a diversity of image types-even if it's just the 2 kinds-that'll give the story more visual texture. In fact, I've already begun jotting down a story in which a painter befriends Cynthia-and eventually convinces her to sit for a portrait that he paints. She initially is extremely recalitrant to do so because she's worried it gives the public impression that she's embarrassingly concieted. At the story's end, we flash forward millennia to find that the portrait becomes legend throughout the galaxy and human history.
