...like I need another new girl to keep track of!
If you're one of my "Loyal Fans" patrons who don't always see the NSFW stuff I post for the "Patrons of Strong-Girl Art" tier, you may not know about a particular "Random Muscle Girl" who I draw with underarm hair and an outrageous "pelt" of pubic hair.
I still draw sketches of her (most of which have remained unpublished), and because of that the impulse to "graduate" her to "official character" status has persisted for some time. And it looks like I'm going to give in.
I'm giving her the name "Iolæ" (pronounced "yo-lay"), and she's a warrior woman who wanders the sword-and-sorcery landscape much like Red the Paladin (who is part of the inspiration for the character.
I posted a nude version of Iolæ for my "Patrons of Strong-Girl Art" sponsors. But I don't want to leave out my "Loyal Fans", so I'm posting a version in which she wears a mythology-style gown modeled after the one worn by Leslie Parrish in the Star Trek episode "Who Mourns for Adonais?" (sic)

The body hair just seems "right" for the character, somehow. Despite what you see in all those sword-and-sandal/"Hercules" movies of the 1960s, I don't think women at the time shaved their underarms. So, if I do get serious about developing this character, she'll keep the hair.
It's very possible - in fact, likely - that I won't do any comics stories about her. But I think I will be doing single illustrations, with descriptions that will hint at a larger story. (Much the way Pumpmonger used to post pictures of Red at his sadly-now-defunct DeviantArt site.)
My next drawing of Iolæ will be of her in her fighting garb, as soon as I figure out what that will look like.
And for those of you who don't care for the body hair...
