Hi everyone! It's Esther this time, filling in for Hannah on Note Duty. By which I mean she still did all the work of assembling this stuff, I'm just posting it. Town Stuff returns, as it will for the rest of this block of shows. What does Hannah normally put here? Something cute? I've no doubt that's the case. Anyway, enjoy our notes!

Hey folks,
As of yesterday, Hannah and I are moved into our new apartment! We're living together without roommates for the first time ever and it's simply grand. Unfortunately the logistics of the move have meant that we haven't had time to record the new main episode, on the show Happy Town. It'll be ready for early access patrons later this week, but not by tomorrow. We're really really sorry for not fulfilling this benefit this month.
That being said, we are so indescribably gr...

Hi everyone! Esther and I are moving this month, which means we brought in a real heavy hitter to help round out this month's episode - Maj. Pawel Czernek, who served with Master Chief himself! This is an unbelievably big get for our little podcast, and we're still buzzing about the whole experience. Unfortunately, we did have to cut the ~30 minutes of discussion between Maj. Czernek and I about our respective bowling leagues because the whole conversation took place in Polish and was not rea...

Hi everyone! Hannah here, back with another set of notes. If these ended up being late, I was gonna call them "wayward notes," but I ended up getting them in on time so that joke's ruined. The main thing you'll notice for this set, and it'll be true of all episodes in the coming arc, is that we have a new section! "Town Stuff," it's called. Stray observations about the mysterious small towns that aren't quite plot, aren't quite character, aren't quite aesthetic. See you next month, and until ...

Don't you just want to get away from it all sometimes? To escape to a place where the towns are mysterious, the people are quirky, and the mysteries......are Lostalike! Hannah and Esther are kicking off a block of shows about Mysterious Small Towns with Wayward Pines, produced by their main man M. Night Shyamalan! Is this a place to put down roots? Or are we looking to sell our property? Listen to find out!

Hi patrons! Hannah here with a bonus episode for you all, the first in our series of "stuff that Lostalike creators worked on." Did you know that Christopher McQuarrie, credited as the creator of dogshit Lostalike "Persons Unknown," has a thriving film career? Esther LOVES two of his Mission: Impossible movies, and the other two... well, look. It's a hard time for her, and I'm trying to be there for her. I hope you can all be there for her too in this extra-long episode where we chat about Ro...

Hi everyone! Hannah here with another set of notes, a set that reveals my most humiliating secret. That's right: I promised in these notes that I was going to go on a lengthy tangent about the film Frequency (2000) and I simply did not do that when it came time to record. That's because I'm a fraud! A liar! All my cunning was for nought in the end, and Esther's honor has carried the day. Stay tuned for the first of our new run of bonus episodes, which will cover a beloved series of films dire...

Hey patrons! We've got a fun one for you this month. Continuing our series of works that inspired Lost, we played the classic of classics video game: Myst! Did we collect enough blue pages to understand its connection to the show? Listen and learn!

Hi folks! Sorry for the delay on this one, we've been having a hellaciously busy April. One thing to note here is that our notes contain some images, which obviously won't be translated to the Patreon version. Be sure to download the .docx file to see them! We'll see you all in a few days for this month's bonus episode, and later in the month for the next main episode, on Journeyman!

Hey patrons! This month's bonus episode is a special one. We took a look at three television episodes written by Damon Lindelof prior to the premiere of Lost to see if we could learn anything about his identity as a creator. Turns out, not really! But we still had fun watching episodes of the long-running and beloved Crossing Jordan, the short-lived and forgotten Wasteland, and most bizarre of all the long-running and forgotten Undressed.

Another month's here! And notes are actually on time... thanks again for bearing with us through our very intense start of the year. You might think that a show we loved as much as New Amsterdam might lend itself to a less fun set of notes, but New Amsterdam is that delightful combination of really good and really goofy. So enjoy some goofy notes from Esther & Hannah. We talk about The Sarge a lot in these, she's so captivating. See you all later this month, when we'll be talking about Be...

This month on The Lost Broadcasts, Hannah and Esther are diving centuries into the past to uncover the truth about a mysterious man in search of love. In New Amsterdam (the 2008 magical cop one, not the 2018 non-magical hospital one), a man who's lived many lives strives to find the one person who can make him mortal. How has he lived for 400 years? What paths has he walked throughout the centuries? Why didn't they ever do an episode where he's gay?

Hey patrons! We've got another bonus episode ready for you - this time on Stephen King's Rose Red. Quick note: we do not have 30 minutes worth of stuff to say about Stephen King's Rose Red, so a lot of what we discuss here ends up being around the decline of the American miniseries, and how that concentrated budget and desire for Event Television ultimately found a different venue in... Lost. Sound off in the comments if you've got a favorite miniseries - NOT, to be clear, a contemporary limi...

Happy February, everyone! Notes are a little delayed this month, as we're still getting things settled back in after a very hard January. The good news is that a) we're fully on track to get our January bonus episode (Stephen King's Rose Red) and our January/February main episode (New Amsterdam) out on schedule, and b) we have here a very loose, lively, animated set of notes. We've hated on a lot of shows here on the Lost Broadcasts, but this just might be the most fun we've ever had hating o...

Hey patrons! Here with another monthly bonus. We're talking about the Robert Zemeckis film Cast Away from 2000, which premiered only a few months after the first season of Survivor. The idea of being stranded on a deserted island was really in the zeitgeist.

Hey everyone, Hannah here. We've got some rough news - Esther's dad passed a few days ago. We've got a lot weighing on us in the coming weeks, which means that unfortunately, an early access episode doesn't look too realistic this month. Our next bonus episode is already in the can, and we're almost done with watching touch already, so we hopefully shouldn't have too big a disruption in service, but we wanted to let you all know. We'll do our best to figure out a fun way to make it up to you ...

Hello everyone, and welcome to your first set of patron notes for 2025! That's crazy... we started this podcast in 2023... and now it's much later. I'm really, really grateful to have you all here. I'm also really proud of the "huge doctor" riff in these notes, which is for my money the funniest thing we've ever written down in one of these. I just can't stop laughing at the idea. A huge doctor coming at you like that scene in It Follows. It's absurd. See you all next month!
Happy holidays, dears and darlings! We thought we'd put this up a day early as a little Christmas Eve treat for you all. Haven't you always wanted to open your presents the night before? Now you can! Thank you all so much for a wonderful year, we will never stop being awed by your support. See you in 2025! And now, our regularly scheduled episode description:
Ah, the holidays. For most, a time to relax, even get in some extra shuteye. But Hannah and Esther have never been more.....

Hi patrons! This month we've got a bonus episode about a TV show that people LOVED to compare to Lost all the way back in the mid 2000's... Survivor. Hey everyone! Hannah here, closing out our final obligations to Revolution. One thing you might notice when reading through these notes is that the "Cute Things We Said" section is nearly empty. This is because we were actively miserable while watching the show and yearning for any moment of release from it. But now we HAVE that release, so next month we'll be coming at you with... a much better show. By definition it's gonna be a much better show. There's literally no way. See you all then!<...

Hey patrons! Here's another episode on a pre-Lost for you, from the mind of Lost co-showrunner Carlton Cuse. That's right, it's The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.! This was a very fun one, and the way the Lost DNA shows up is honestly very interesting. Thanks as always for your continued support, and enjoy!

quick heads up that Revolution is awful in ways that nothing we've heretofore seen is awful. FlashForward clears. Persons Unknown clears. V clears. there's no way we're gonna retain enough of this show to talk about it for 90 minutes. so while the episode WILL be out on time, please expect it to be a little bit different than usual. sub-podcasts are gonna do heavy lifting here. love you all, stay safe, Revolution is a very very bad program

Hi everyone, Hannah here. Notes for this month are a little delayed because I spent the last week of October dealing with a family medical emergency - but that's all on the mend now. My dad is gonna be fine. He's gonna make a full recovery, he's gonna be his usual shithead wisecracking self, and he's still gonna be a superfan of the TV show Lost. His favorite character is Sayid. What he likes most about Sayid is "this guy's kinda sorta a secret agent." I just received an accidental call from ...
