Head's up on charge up front
Added 2021-01-01 17:05:18 +0000 UTCJust a note to let you know that later today, Friday, January 1st 2021, I'll be changing my billing method to "charge up front".
What this means, is that a new sponsor will be charged up front for their monthly access, then will be(just as present sponsors are) charged on the first of the next month for the next month's sponsorship. For example: let's say "Sonya" joins my "Loyal Fan" tier for $1 a month on the 10th. At the time she joins, she'll be charged that $1 for that current month, then will be charged $1 on the first of each succeeding month until she cancels.
If "Sonya" then edits her pledge to $5 per month, she'll be charged the extra $4 at the time she edits, then will be charged the usual $5/month beginning the first of the next month. (If she then edit her pledge back down to $1/month, however, there will be no refund of the $4 difference for that month; she's then charged for her new $1/month pledge on the next first of the month.)
So how will this affect current patrons? You won't notice any difference once "charge up front" is implemented, unless you edit your pledge. You'll still be charged on the first of each month, as always.
