Dragon Type Pokemon were unlike other any pokemon species. Pokemon are pretty easy to understand once you learn why they behave certain ways.T hat was true for all Pokémon of all types. Dragon's were the most, honor based besides fighting types. They didn't rampage often, but when they did, there was always destruction left behind.
Austin had learned this directly from Lucario but these words seemed to be missing from all the books he had read on Dragon types.
Looks like Lucario's practical experience was better these most mordern pokemon breeders.
Dragonair stared at Austin in consideration. He was being judged by the Pseudo Legendary for something.
The room was silent as Dragonair and Austin sized each other up like two dragons getting ready to do battle. Lucario had told Austin that if he wanted Dragonair's loyalty then he couldn't back down, even if it meant getting stomped on.
Dragon Types weren't considered one of the most dangerous types for nothing.
Neither the Dragon or the human could back down from each other. Dragons demanded loyalty, honor, and truthfulness above everything. They hated weak hearted people, and would purposely go out of their way to possibly destroy them. When someone dealt with them, they had to adapt, and quickly.
Austin had been warned by Luacrio that Dragonair wasn't like Charmeleon who had accepted him as his master before his draconic nature kicked in.
With Lucario's words in mind, Austin knew better than most what would happen if he bowed to pseudo legendary rather than the other way around.
Their eyes dared each other to back down, not caring how they looked to orhers. This was a dragon ritual.
Austin smiled, eyes locked on the Pokémon in front of him. " I can say with certainty that you could become the most powerful Dragonite in the world. I need Pokémon like you to have any chance of getting anywhere in my goal. I need powerful friends, like you. What do you say? Will you work with me?" He asked calmly, holding out a hand.
Austin wanted to took a moment to admire the Dragonair, its scales were mostly an light blue, except on its stomach, where there were a gleaming white but during this ritual he couldn't bow down.
This Pokémon in everyone he had read was known for their absolute loyalty, they were unmovable Pokémon. They would always trust their trainers impeccably, no matter the situation. If the possibility of having a potential powerhouse hadn't sold it, the loyalty part certainly did it.
Finally, the pseudo legendary nodded to him, bowing its head slightly in submission.
Austin took out a PokeBall and held it infront of Dragonair.
The Dragonair responded by pressing its nose on the Safari Ball button and allowing itself inside. The ball made a dinging noise and Pseudo legendary had officially become a part of Austin's Pokemon.
Austin sighed in relief as he sat on the cave floor.
Taking out his Pokedex, Austin saw a voice message from Professor Oak.
" Ash, my boy, first of all I am happy to see that you are getting back to the swing of thing but I have to ask did you really have to send me a Tauros and a Rhyhorn ? Those two almost demolished my lab."
Austin chuckled as he heard the message before he scanned Dragonair's PokeBall.
Dexter's voice called out.
" Dragonair, the Dragon Pokemon. Amystical Pokemon that exudes a gentle aura. Legend has it that it the ability to change climate conditions." Dexter, the Pokedex beeped. "This Dragonair is Female and the Ability is Shed Skin. Currently, this Dragonair knows Leer, thunder wave, twister, wrap, dragon tail, agility, slam, aqua tail, Safeguard, Rain dance, Dragon Rush, Extreme Speed and Mist. The Age of this Dragonair is Seventeen Years and Two Months."
" Holy shit." Austin whistled as he heard Dragonair's age.
" Congratulations on the catch."
" Thanks, Luacrio."
" Of course; without me, you couldn't do it."
" And you ruined it."
" I didn't ruin anything, I just told the facts."
" Keep telling yourself that Grandpa."
" Stop calling me that, I am not that old."
" You are literally 569 years old, if I counted correctly."
Lucario huffed as he grumbled," Those 556 years don't count."
" Huh, what did you say ?"
" I said, that don't forget about tomorrow's aura training."
" Well, unlike you grandpa I have already set a few dozen alarms for tomorrow."
" Why so many ?"
" So, you could hear it in your old age."
" Didn't someone ever teach you to respect your elders ?"
" Hah, you admit it."
" Admit what ?"
" That you are old."
" I didn't admit anything."
Luacrio and Austin's bickering stopped as Haunter pulled Austin to her side.
" Woah !"
Austin cried out in surprised as he found himself in Haunter's arm who just grinned in response.
" Not to rain on your parade but could you out me down ?"
Haunter's arms phased out causing Austin to hit the floor butt first.
" Ow, Ah, come on." Austin said as he rubbed his butt causing Haunter and Lucario to break out laughing.
" Really funny guys." Austin said as he tried to stand up.
" Should we bring that pervert to treat your Gluteus maximus ?"
Austin couldn't help but laugh at Luacrio's joke.
After a minute, Austin and Lucario frowned as they saw Haunter's strange find.
Embedded into the center of the underwater tree trunk was a pale green seed.
" It looks like a seed." Lucario said causing Austin to glance at him incredulously.
" Really ! I could tell."
" Why ? Do we need to treat your eyesight along with your butt ?" Lucario countered back before Haunter slapped the duo.
" Ok, we'll stop." Austin said as he raised his Pokedex to scan the pale green seed.
Dexter, the Pokedex beeped out.
[ Scan Complete. Item appears to resemble a Miracle Seed. Note : A miracle seed is a special type of seed that grows from the core of the grass type pokemon that has died from old age. It is believed by many spiritualist that a miracle seed is the last gift a gentle grass type leaves for the world. ]
" Well, that explains a lot." Luacrio said causing Austin and Haunter to look at him, the duo was waiting for an explanation.
" Because this seed is radiating a lot of grass attributed aura."
" Hmm, do you think this tree could have grown from the miracle seed ?" Austin asked as he stroked his hand along the bark of the tree.
It really felt nice to the touch.
