Chapter no.248 The Healer ; Chansey

[ POV Change ]
" Hey, Ash can I ask you something?" Yellow curiously said as they walked through the meadows.
" What is it ?"
" How come you have Lucario, Haunter and Pikachu out even though it is against the rules ?"
" Well, I talked to the staff and got permission to have Lucario and Pikachu out with the promise that he doesn't hurt any of the pokemon in the Safari Zone. As for Haunter she hid in my shadow."
" But isn't it unfair to use Luacrio and Haunter to capture Pokemon ?" Yellow asked innocently.
Austin sighed at Yellow's childlike outlook on life.
" Well, there are alot of cameras in this place. Since we haven't been kicked out then we haven't broken any rules." Austin said but opted to not tell Yellow that ghost type Pokemon can't been seen on Camera.
" We are close." Lucario informed the duo as he stopped.
Austin and Yellow peered out of the bushes as they say Chansey weeping while sitting next to a tree.
" She is feeling sad." Yellow whispered out.
" I am going to talk to her." Austin said as he walked out of the buses.
Austin's presence caused Chansey to look up.
Austin took out a pokemon bait as he asked," Can I talk to you?"
"Chansey?" The Chansey looked nervous for a moment, then grabbed another piece of Pokรฉmon bait from Austin's hand and chewed.
" Look..." Austin stared at the Chansey's feet. "I...don't worry; I won't catch you if you don't want me to...but...but I really really want to catch a Chansey..."
"Chansey?" She didn't look afraid.
" Can I sit down ?"
Chansey nodded as she ate another pokemon bait.
Austin sat down and said," A month ago, I lost a dear friend of mine but if we could have gotten the treatment maybe she would have survived. Chansey, I know this is your home but would you like to join me ? I know it is a very unreasonable request from me but I need someone like you. Someone who can give me assurance that me and my family could get the treatment that may save our life. Would you be that someone ?" Austin asked as he placed a Pokeball in between himself and Chansey.
" Chan, Chansey !" Chansey burst out into tears before hugging Austin.
" Whoa !" Austin chuckled as he was lifted up by Chansey while being hugged.
Chansey waddled side to side in happiness before placing Austin down.
" Chansey, Chan, Chan !"
Chansey tried to put on it's trademark smile but couldn't as she hurriedly touched the pokeball but from the bushes a few vines shot out attacking Chansey.
Everyone turned to the duo of Tangela that were furiously looking around.
" Tangela, Tang!"
" Lucario."
" They are saying, how dare you perverted Chansey do that to my son ?"
Lucario's words caused everyone to look at Chansey who got up.
" Chansey."
" Lucario, what did Chansey say ?" Austin asked.
" Am I your personal translator ?" Lucario said with annoyance visible on his face.
" Luacrio !"
" Fine, you don't have to raise your voice. The healer is apologizing saying that she only wanted to heal the son."
The two Tangela didn't even consider Chansey's words as they shot powerwhips at Chansey.
" Haunter, Shadow claw !"
The two tangela's vines were sliced by crescents of ghostly energy.
Austin stepped in between Chansey and the Tangelas.
" Mr and Miss Tangela, I apologize for what Chansey had done." Austin said with a bow shocking Chansey.
" Tangela, Ela !"
Austin's apology did little to appease the mother and father.
Austin took out a healing potion and sprayed it on Chansey's wounds from the powerwhips.
Under the eyes of everyone, Chansey's wounds healed. Austin then threw the healing potion towards the two Tangela.
" Use it to heal your son!" Austin shouted out causing the male Tangela to step up but the female stopped him.
" Tangela." The female took the healing potion as she said something to her husband that caused the male to follow him.
Austin turned to Lucario whose nostrils flared up.
" She said that their son is more important than teaching us a lesson." Lucario said while rolling his eyes but his attitude immediately turned into one of joy when Austin threw a chocolate bar at him.
Austin turned towards Chansey.
" So want to join my team ?"
Chansey didn't answer as she focused on a little bruise Austin had on his wrist when he tried to capture the leader, Tauros.
Austin smiled as he saw Chansey healing him but his smile quickly went away when he saw the expression on Chansey's face.
It looked like a cross between an absolute perversive expression mixed in with ecstasy and a grin of pure evil.
Austin wouldn't lie as he was scared.
Chansey says the fear in Austin's eyes as tears welled up before she quickly waddled away.
Austin was too shocked to say anything as he turned to Yellow.
" Yellow, what was Chansey's emotions when she tried to heal me ?"
" I sensed that she was sad yet happy."
" hmmm."
" Ash."
" Yeah."
" I think Chansey can't control her expressions hence why she scared off that baby Tangela when she was only trying to help."
" Yeah, I think so too. Let's find our pink friend."

Sitting by a lake, Chansey looked at her reflection.
Why couldn't I be like everyone else ?
Why can't I just be normal ?
Thoughts filled Chansey's head as she had encountered the first human who she wanted as a trainer.
He didn't want me as a prize to be shown off rather he wanted her to be a part of a family.
Family ... huh.
Do I even deserve such a thing ?
At the end of the day, I am just a freak.
With that thought, Chansey closed her eyes.
" You know for a Chansey, you sure do run fast." A voice called out causing Chansey to turn to the side where she saw Austin aiming a rock at the water.
Austin flung the stone forward as it skipped a few meters away on the surface.
" Chan ?"
" Well, the offer is still valid. Want to join my team ?"
" Chan, Chansey !" Chansey turned and looked at her reflection.
" You know everyone has a some kind of problem that they are ashamed of. Pikachu has a Ketchup probelm."
" Pika !" Pikachu threw the rock towards the river trying to make it skip but couldn't as he heard his name.
" I have a problem with heights. Everyone has a problem in their life but that doesn't mean you can't overcome it. How about this ? Chansey, if you join my team I promise you that I will help you overcome your problem."
Austin's words had caused Chansey to tear up. Chansey stood up and hugged Austin which he reciprocated.
After a long hug, Chansey let Austin go as she stood meters away from him.
" Chansey !"
Austin smiled at the pink pokemon before chugging the Safari Ball forward.
Chansey disappeared into the PokeBall which began to rock back and forth.
With the sound " Bing " echoing through the area, Chansey joined Austin's team as the healer who can't control her expressions.
