Charge upfront

Just wanted to make a little post about changing the charging system to charge upfront. This will not affect active patrons.
I'm changing to charge upfront, when you pledge patreon will process the payment for that current level you have choosen, 5$, 10$ etc right away.
The time this will be a thing is when you make your first pledge, are a returning patron that does not have a pledge active at the moment or increasing your pledge (Once a patron it will only be the one monthly charge at the start of a new month if you stick around!). This means payment will be charged the time when you sign up (if you sign up say may 10th you will be charged then for may and again at june first, so ideally you want to join up at the beginning of a new month and not say, the 29th unless you just want to throw me a couple of extra dollars).
This is a good way to prevent people from backing out which is a bit to common, or just creating fake accounts etc etc. These aren't new things and you probably already know about it.
(oh and if you wish to go from say 5 dollar patron support to 10 dollar you can do so and it will charge you the difference, 5 dollars and not 10)
I will still be using tumblr as an archive (and some people prefer it) mainly cause I think it will be easier for people to browse. This will also make it so that people don't have to wait for me to send out passwords like I used to when people join up or if their pledge is a bit slow or be processed.
