Angel 5x19 Time Bomb

Okay, this episode was a rollercoaster! I love how it didn't really make sense until it finally did. Love a bit of mystery and this one had me guessing and a little confused.

Wes is... Well, he's lost the plot a bit. I feel so bad for the guy. He's not even had any time to process or mourn Fred's loss. I mean, even Angel told him in a previous episode to basically just get over it. We're not all brooding vampires who sit in the dark, Angel ๐Ÿคฃ

On a bit of a personal note, it seems it's one thing after another for me. I think I've got either carpal tunnel or some tendon problem as my right hand has been a bit numb for a little while. I got a new mouse yesterday and a wrist strap so I'm hoping that helps! If anyone else has had the same symptoms, please let me know what you did! I think it's from too much computer work and not being in the right position.

I feel like she lost more than some of her power to me from how I understand it she lost nearly all of her power she still has more strength than a human probably more than a vampire even but not nearly the strength she once possessed if only she could have had a body capable of keeping her power in tact against the Wolf Ram and Heart but then again if she was able to keep her power the risk she could pose would probably be impossible to stop let alone control and who's today she wouldn't be or do worse than the ๐Ÿบ ๐Ÿ and โค๏ธ

I really like how they how they show case Ilyria's power in opening of this episode. After taking out 11 other households, she goes in tosses the Wrath across the room like a toy, the demon that Spike and Angel couldn't do anything to. As Wesley put it, "I doubt this poses a risk to her." The opening also helped to endear Ilyria to us. Even if she did it out of selfish motivations, she saved someone we like. No one else seemed to have any idea how to rescue Gunn. I like how Angel walks up to tell Ilyria off as she's holding up Gunn, and Wesley puts up a hand to stop him and takes over the situation, saying "Yes, great worth. A great debt. You're talking of the debt, aren't you?" His time with her as paid off; he knows how to communicate with her. It's a pity Ilyria had to lose some of her power in this episode. I assume it's because if she's going to join the team, she can't be too overpowered. Though of course it's also a good character arc, Ilyria coming to terms with her loss of power.
