I lost internet for a day and was up all night on Sunday as we'd started to flood but managed to save it. I've got cuts and bruises, even bruised the bottom of my feet ☹️ but I have a home and I am safe so I can never complain about that!

It's fascinating how David can play the role of two characters so perfectly well. You even can see a difference in his face as Angelus. I don't want to think about what nasty energy he had to channel for that 🙀

In a season that, due to the overarching storyline, has quite a few episodes I'm not a fan of, this is definitely one of the highlights for me. Thanks for another great reaction Juliette.

It brought it home how much that was inspired by fear he'd lose her, which goes back to Angelus's manipulation. And the same of Gunn losing it with Wes. Angelus got what he wanted.

2025-03-10 20:50:23 +0000 UTCIt's episodes like this that go to bat for Series 4 and come out swinging. I love your YouTube editing choices and how you pick up on essences of an episode. This time: those slow tilting Dutch camera angles as Angelus is introduced, the lighting or lack of, and the psychological drama, although that is all over Soulless. I feel this version of the character is more interesting than the one we got in Buffy, the writers having more time to consider what he's capable of, and it helps he's locked up. Yes Angelus is very gross. He really should have taken smut lessons from WesLilah.

It's been an awful week but I really hope it's okay from now on. Thanks to all for your kind words 💜 I couldn't record last week as I wasn't in the right headspace, but I edited Buffy, Angel and Doctor Who instead so we're still on track with the editing 🥹 I hope to get back to recording today as I am excited!!

2025-03-10 20:40:06 +0000 UTCThe difference between Angel with and without a soul is enormous if you compare with other examples in the Buffyverse. For example Darla during season 2 when she was human again kinda had the same personality as her vampire self, but Angel and Angelus is day and night. The Angel seasons are always very strong in their middle part and this current season is no different. Great episode. Such well-written dialogues. Amazing how menacing Angelus is, even in his caged condition.
