Doctor Who 6x12 Closing Time

I love this episode SO much!! You probably know by now that I adore those quirky moments that make me laugh, and this episode had buckets of them. Beautiful! Wonderful! It was so darn delightful and editing this was a real treat as I got to rewatch it all over again (for hours... but let's not let that ruin the moment 🤣🤪)

Such a delight. Loved it. The ending though..... Well.

Doctor Who 6x12 Closing Time

Comments

10 & 11 have some of the best writing in all of sci-fi imo. The way the threads are woven together throughout the series, coming together in the finale beautifully. Brilliant reaction as always, can't wait for next weeks episode, it's a good one.

The Rising Ape

As others have said the episode is called the snowmen & comes after ep 5. Can I ask what streaming service you are using for Doctor Who? as the numbering of episodes can be listed differently on different streaming services. A few things I forgot to mention: During the 2nd part of series 7 in 2013 it was the 50th anniversary of the show, to celebrate this there was a film made called "An Adventure in Space & Time" which was a docudrama on the making of the show when the show first started in 1963 which i'd highly recommend reacting to. Another one to react to would be the doctor who 1996 tv movie. I've seen not all but a fair amount of dr who reaction channels react to a few classic who episodes at this point in series 7. However, (unless there other ways) access to classic who for streaming is pretty limited unless you use a vpn for bbc iplayer to access classic who. If you decide & can get streaming access to watch a few episodes of classic who then there are some eps I can recommend (& likely other patreons & fans can recommend too) For the minisodes, if the episode numbering of series 7 is the same ep numbering that matches up with your streamer, you can use this guide, if not I'll update it to when I find out what your streamers episode numbering is. I've avoided putting the titles of minisodes & episodes as some of them may be spoilery Minisode (before ep 1): https://youtu.be/9ZkWjkvaKpA?si=J2u6mZCHsvuK_Yjt Minsode (after ep 5): https://youtu.be/XWU6XL9xI4k?si=lGk--XN1Mq3S6f2v Prequel (after ep 6 special): https://youtu.be/2IROtC6cAT4?si=p3ruSsY3mGFCTLBK Minisode (after ep 8): https://youtu.be/-Dd6_1AzqR8?si=4ERKSEN0g4lrxCy6 Minisode (after ep 10) https://youtu.be/-8I9z6Y4mBY?si=I_-jWMNgpJ17jJrz Minisode (before ep 14) https://youtu.be/mtaIpkjF6Ss?si=gR_uqXnCn4N6Ka6j An Adventure in space and time film (Docudrama) Possible Classic Who episode (s) Doctor who: The Movie (1996 TV Movie) Minisode (after 1996 Movie) https://youtu.be/-U3jrS-uhuo?si=gkd9aeMh6yveUTB8 Minisode (before 50th anniversary special ep 15) https://youtu.be/Eem2Ehq_xBI?si=cJZpzCZ00tDTQA-r

I love your reaction to seeing the Cybermen. They are recurring villains so they're bound to pop up every now and again, like the Daleks in particular, as well as the Master, Sontarans, Weeping Angels and the like to a lesser extent. Interestingly enough the other reactor I mainly follow has the Cybermen as her favourite villain race. The end is quite the gut punch after what was the usual light episode before the finale. I'm not fond of James Corden in general (he just comes across as a bit too 'laddish' for my liking) but he does work well in the show and in this episode in particular. Time to rewatch the finale ahead of your next reaction.

NOT THE MAMA

Fun fact: this is the first episode with River Song in it to not be mainly written by Steven Moffat as he always writes for River Song. Gareth Roberts wrote the episode but Steven wrote the section with River in it as he won't allow anyone else to write for River Song.

The christmas special is called "The Snowmen" it is after the season 7 episode 5 but images from the episode might be big spoilers so I wouldn't check it until episode 5. There is also a Christmas special and Prequel/minisodes before season 7.

Mert Sanli

The Snowmen. It comes after episode 5. It *could* be listed as episode 6 of series 7.

I don't know much about James Cordon, but I did read a few negative comments about him the last time he was here. I think he's so funny and it was BRILLIANT to have a funny episode. They are my favourites! As much I seem to love crying in my videos (🤣), I prefer having a laugh! OMG NEIL! I remember Dinosaurs!!! I had some toys of them!!! Way to go to bring back my childhood memories 😅💜 Thank you, Neil. I hope you have a good rest of your week and take care 🥰

Yeah, it's honestly been so long since I've seen them! I'm glad we've had a break from them for a while as I've been so engrossed in the story during series 6. I feel the story is SO good and riveting, that we don't need Cybermen or Daleks for interest sake (if that makes sense!)

Juliette Gaming

Ooh thank you, Fraser! That is a big help as I wasn't aware of that. Is the title spoilery at all, just so I can check I have the special on my streaming service 😊

Juliette Gaming

Hey Jules, as you'll soon be starting (or possibly have already started) series 7 in the near future. Don't worry nothing actually spoilery, but something to note for series 7 is like series 6 it's split into two parts with a special inbetween parts a & b. That's all, just something to be aware of.

I personally think the cybermen a bit stale in this episode but nice to see them they are my favourite dr who enemy as the concept originally was about organ transplants and how far would humans would the idea of body modification but brilliant reaction as always cant wait till the next one 😺

Dave

I know a lot of people hate James Cordon but he would have made a great companion. Cordon and Matt Smith play off each other so well, in my opinion. (Speaking of James Cordon, do yourself a favour Juliette and watch some Gavin & Stacey. It's possibly the best feel-good comedy ever made) Your facial expression when Craig was talking/being creepy to the store assistant in the underwear section was hilarious! 😂 When the Doctor said that baby Alfie calls Craig "not mum" that surely has to be a nod to the show 'Dinosaurs' in which the baby calls his dad "not the mama". An excellent episode and an equally excellent reaction from yourself. Thanks Juliette.

Neil Hanson

The scene where the Doctor talks to "Stormageddon" and shows him the stars is so wonderful. This season has so many fantastic scenes, but this one is my favorite. Matt Smith is brilliant at playing an old soul in a whimsical exterior.

Lime Pie

HAHA good!!! It's just like, "Nooooo not them again!!" What an awesome episode!!

Juliette Gaming

Your reaction to seeing the cyberman in the changing room at the start was priceless, pretty sure that’s how most people also reacted. 😂
