I hope everyone had a lovely weekend! I've been fighting a headache for a few days (I really wish one day they'd just go away for good!) but my weekend was not too hectic which is nice 💜 I always try to think about the things I have, rather than what I don't, especially given the state of the world at the moment. We truly are lucky... A headache doesn't seem so bad 🥹

Oh wow, thank you!! I was way off with Doyle's age. Yeah, Cordelia really should still be 19 like Buffy as well. Sometimes it does get a bit confusing, but I do try to put aside stuff like that so I can not get too bogged down with it 😅

Technically Cordelia should be about 19, but the show portrays her and treats her as though she were in her early 20s. As far as Doyle, he is definitely younger than you were thinking. You guessed he's in his 30s, maybe even his late 30s. He should actually be in his early to mid-20s. It's mentioned in this episode that he and Harry were married before they even turned 20. They were together for a while and then when he was 21 his demon aspect manifested. Things went downhill from there and they stayed together for a little bit but the implication is not much longer. Then when Harry and Doyle reunite in this episode she mentions that they are living just fine without each other four years later. That could mean four years after they got married, which would put him around 23. It could also mean four years after they broke up, which would put him around 25 or 26. Either way, he is older than Cordelia but not egregiously so. Certainly not 224 years old versus 16 like a certain other couple we know. :)

The first season of Buffy had the praying mantis lady, and Mordoch 😅 Both episodes which I actually liked though haha! Maybe it's more like migraines that I'm getting. I'll have to look into that! It's quite hard to go about my normal day and be happy when they are here 😢

I recently heard a doctor on the radio say that migraines generally last between 3 hours and 3 days, and that seems to match my experience. Harriet is very nice. And it's fun to learn more about Doyle's past. But I do feel like the monster-of-the-week on Angel so far is a bit weaker than it was in the first season of Buffy.

Hope you feel better soon 💜 I like that we get to learn more about Doyle and his past in this episode. It's also nice to see that Cordelia is seeing him in a different, more positive light as well. Did you notice that the guy playing the fiancé was also the guy from the Buffy episode 'Anne', and the guy who shot Kaylee in the Firefly pilot? Joss Whedon must really like him! He's such a fascinating character and of course the only one of the three we don't know. Great they took the time to deep dive into him here.
