Doctor Who 1x12 Bad Wolf | Full Reaction

Here is the beginning of the end... We're almost done with the first season of NuWho (look at me being all cool and stuff) and it's gone far too quickly!

A very interesting episode, being back on Satellite 5 and our beloved Doctor & Co are a bit famous 😅 I loved the beginning as it just seemed to weird and surreal and brought back some memories to when I used to watch game shows on tv with my parents!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend ahead of you 💜

I blazed through my entire 1st season DVD set in one weekend. I haz Teh WillPowerz. :-)

Now that is pretty cool and I didn't know that! I don't know if I'll remember it but I will try 😸

Juliette Gaming

YES!! It is because of what he did last time he was there... that would have made him so upset 😟

Juliette Gaming

Hehe! Yeah, I can't watch two Doctor Who episodes in a row as I don't have time but I think I watched the second part soon after though!

Juliette Gaming

Thank you, Niall 😸😸

A bit of Dalek history (from GENESIS OF THE DALEKS): the Daleks were created on the planet Skaro to serve in a war between two city-states, Thal and Kaled. A Kaled scientist, Davros, wanted a perfect soldier, one who sought to kill anything that wasn't perfect. Unfortunately for the Kaleds (and everything else in the universe, including Davros,) the Daleks (an anagram of 'Kaled') took their instructions too literally and started killing everything that wasn't Dalek. The Doctor, along with his companions Sarah Jane and Harry, sealed the Daleks away. But not for long. Thank you for coming to my TED talk, ;0)

44:40 Interesting how you referred to the Daleks as 'beasts.' It instantly brought to mind (of all things) a quote from RICHARD III: Lady Anne: No beast so fierce but knows some touch of pity. Richard III: But I know none, and therefore am no beast. Describes a Dalek to a turn, I'd say.

“But you have no weapons, no defenses, no plan.” “Yeah. And doesn’t that scare you to death?!” There’s an old saying about the Doctor: “The first thing you notice about the Doctor is that he’s unarmed. For many, it’s also the last.” This is a great 2 part finale, and I really enjoy the game show segment. A little while after this, in fact (maybe after series 2?) The Weakest Link actually did a special episode featuring the cast from Doctor Who as contestants. Fortunately, no-on was disintegrated, or transmated. I also like how they touch on the fact the world is in part like this due to the Doctor’s earlier intervention. It’s not often that the show has shown long term consequences of his actions. So anticipating next week’s finale!

I can't wait to watch your reaction to the finale. I'm honestly surprised you didn't just add on the next episode to this one. You have *WAY* more willpower than I do. When I first watched this episode, I had to immediately watch part 2. Ha

I love the questions you have, as always. There are a series of Classic Who stories where you can learn a bunch about the Daleks. Some of which are pretty beneficial. One story in particular from the 4th Doctor era is called Genesis of the Daleks, as one example. With 26 series of Classic, depicting adventures from 7 Doctors. That's the place to learn aspects of the history, in ways that NuWho really won't provide in a massively detailed way.

Daryl

Here we go, strap in. Can't believe we are here already, so excited to watch and see what you have to say. You're just a joy <3

Anne Robinson. Anne Droid. Aaaaaand... I'm dead.
