Buffy - Lovers Walk S3 E8 - Full Reaction

I'm sorry for the delay with this episode! I try to schedule them so they go out on time, but this one slipped past me so I'm just posting it live now.

This episode was GREAT! Our boy Spike is back for a quick visit, and madness ensues. I really, really enjoyed this episode a LOT. No spoilers in the blurb here, but A LOT OF THINGS happened in this episode, especially towards the end. Oh.... my... goodness...

I hope you all have had a lovely weekend and go into a nice week ahead! My recording plans for this week are to start Modern Warfare 2, watch more Buffy and Doctor Who 💓

Regarding Doctor Who, I haven't decided what to do about the two-parter episodes as most people were happy for me to have just 1 Buffy episode for a week when there is a two-parter, but some didn't like that. I don't want to upset anyone so we will just maybe not change anything. If I can have the Doctor Who 2-parter episodes done in advance, then maybe on those weeks we can have an additional episode alongside the regular 2 Buffy episodes, but I won't make any promises in case I upset someone if I can't deliver 💜😸 It should be fine though, I reckon!

Buffy - Lovers Walk S3 E8 - Full Reaction

Comments

Great reaction, as usual, Juliette. Your reaction to the fakeout was great. LOL Yes, I laugh at people's pain. At the end, when all three relationships have imploded and everyone is separated, the song that's playing is called The Loneliness Of Six. A perfect title for a perfect score, to an absolutely gut-wrenching ending.

Though I knew about the end with Cordy, I still cried when you did lol

Melanie

You must remember the "fake-out" in the first episode of Firefly, when Mal told Simon that Kaylee was dead. That fake-out is a Joss Whedon signature. You fell for it then, you fell for it in this episode, and you'll fall for it the next time also!

Lesson #1 - You can't always please everyone. Whatever you do to make some people happy will undeniably make others unhappy. There has to be a final arbiter, and that is you. Lesson #2 - As long as you are honest and upfront with your intentions and do your best to keep making content, your patrons should have no reason to complain. That's not to say that they won't complain anyway, of course, but you should not feel a need to cater to people that think that a few dollars a month gives them an ownership nin your time.

You've now joined a long line of both watchers and reactors to seeing that Cordelia fakeout death scene and I loved your reaction to both the 'death' and the fakeout reveal. This episode is always a fan favourite. There's nothing not to like in terms of pure drama and also comedy. Regarding the uploads, I just think you should do what you want to do. Sure I love the Buffy releases, but it's your channel. Do whatever makes you happy and we'll be happy.

Season 3 is my fave, and it starts here.

loving the reactions so far, I'm going to be fine with any decisions made. I haven't seen buffy in forever so going through it with you has been a treat, the same with the first season of Doctor who.

A great episode and wonderful reaction, as always! Spike really is a scene stealer, and the interactions between him, Buffy and Angel are priceless. At least the whole Xander-Willow madness is out in the open and over, though now we have the repercussions to deal with. As for the 2-parter dilemma- to misquote the man in the tall hat: You can please some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time; but you can’t please all of the people all of the time! However, having both episodes of a 2-parter in the same week for either Buffy or DW, if it were possible for you, would be excellent. But it’s your channel, so you should do what’s best for you.

One of my absolute favorite episodes of the season.

I did that scene with spike buffy and angel for drama project in high school. "You're not friends. You'll never be friends. You'll be in love until it kills you both. You'll fight, and you'll shag and you'll hate each other until it makes you quiver but you'll never be friends. I may be loves bitch, but at least I'm man enough to admit it."

Michael Short

VERY cool to know! Sometimes I do notice scars and things like that on the actors, though I will say I've not noticed any on Charisma on her stomach... yet! I love that if we do see her stomach on the show in the future, we will get a painful reminder back to THAT scene!

Juliette Gaming

Bit of background on that scene with Cordy. Charisma has a scar in the same place from a similar injury she sustained as a child so the writers gave her character the same scar.
