Buffy - Prophecy Girl S1 E12 - Full Reaction

I'm actually SO excited to have completed the first season of Buffy! I know it's still early days, but it seems like an awesome milestone for me and I am very much looking forward to the next 6 seasons πŸ’œ

I just want to say thank you to everyone for your love and support and to know that you are here cheering me on, laughing with me and crying with me, as we go through Buffy's journey together.

This episode was way more emotional than I thought it would be. Buffy's reaction in the library was so raw and heartfelt. She's just so young... she has the weight of the world on her shoulders and is the only one that can do a thing about it. I'm so glad she has so many friends that love and care for her as she's going to need it 😭

That scene is the first scene in my opinion that gives a taste of the feast Buffy has to offer.

Thank you so much! I'm truly glad you have been enjoying the first season as I've read a few times it's a bit rough. I have loved it though, it's been fun, but I have to admit I am SO excited for what is to come as from the sounds of it, it gets better and better πŸ€—πŸ’œ

Honestly I had NO idea that this episode would break me the way that it did. The scene in the library was phenomenal and SO well done. It's one of my favourite moments so far. What an amazing episode this was!

That scene in the library when Buffy finds out she's going to die - that scene cements that this show can be more than just a funny show about vampires. And then there's the scene with Willow talking to Buffy on her bed. Buffy was ready to give up. As she said: she quit. But Willow's story made her change her mind. She knew she was going to die, and she went anyway. Because of her friends.

A few episodes ago they showed Buffy's date of birth on screen and you noticed it changed a couples times. As a fellow 1980 I also took notice of that. I was in high school when the show originally aired. After all these years the show still holds up and it remains my favorite. I'm glad you enjoyed the first season, your reactions have been wonderful. Season 2 is going to be great.

Having watched your reaction, I only have one thing I have to say to you. Sign me up for the next 6 seasons of your reactions.

I missed this five hours ago. I stopped refreshing my Patreon after several hours of nothing. I'm watching it right now.

Thank you πŸ€—πŸ’œ I loved this one... I loved how it was SO unexpectedly devastating. Buffy was SO, SO amazing in the scene with Giles in the library. Completely believable and it was so easy for me to resonate with her feelings. What a brilliant season finale... Absolutely epic! I am so glad you liked this one! I've got the next episode edited but just working on getting it finalised. It's a bit slow going here for a couple of weeks πŸ€— Some people say that leaving info about seasons IS spoilery, but sometimes it doesn't bother me TOO much as I know it's going to take me a long time to get through the seasons and by the time I do, I'll forget which ones are the best ones 🀭 I just know that I'm in for an amazing ride, no matter what πŸ₯°

I think he was just really hurt at the time, but yeah... Xander does seem to have a rough time controlling his feelings. And I totally get it, too! I had many crushes in high school they never noticed me 🀣

I think one of Buffy's superpowers is the ability to fight demons while fashionably dressed.

Couldn't click on this one fast enough. Probably one of my favourite episodes of the entire series. Everything up to this point has been fairly lighthearted whereas this one feels subtly different right from the start. A little darker, more serious, every scene important and emotionally impactful. It moves along at a great pace and still does a wonderful job of laying out all the puzzle pieces for us, it feels almost like a little mini movie. A lot of folks don't pick up on the size of the bloody handprint the way you did. Between that and the cartoons on the TV I think we're supposed to infer that it was indeed the Anointed One, probably accompanied by a cadre of other vampires, that chowed down on the kids in AV room. As much as I've talked up my love for season 1 it's still by no means my favourite and so of course I can't wait for you to continue on into season 2 and beyond to see what you think. I'm always tempted to list my personal season rankings in these comments but I'm worried that even that even that would be too spoilery lol. Anyhoo, wonderful reaction as always and see you in the next one.

I really empathise with Xander with him asking Buffy out. I remember liking girls in high school and them having no interest.. It was an asshole move to say "I guess a guy has to be undead to get time with you" though
