The Ashigaru Battle-Fires are the cheapest, most modest, and lowest-ranked soldiers in the Greater Good’s war machine. They are the ones who hold the line, the ones who march forward when others hesitate, the ones whose lives burn the brightest for the cause—because without them, there is no war, no victory, no future.
Yet, every one of them matters.
Each Ashigaru is more than just a number in the Empire’s war ledger. They have homes, families, aspirations. Some dream of rising through the ranks, others simply long to return to the simple lives they left behind—farmers, artisans, laborers. But they march forward knowing their purpose. Each one chooses to be part of something greater, to lay their lives down so that others may live in peace.
The Ashigaru Battle-Fires are the true embodiment of sacrifice. The battlefield would be nothing without them. The grand strategies of generals would crumble without their resolve. And now, they take their place in the ever-growing ranks of the Greater Good’s forces.
