Dungeons with Shorties
By Princess Lil
Featuring SaunterWing’s Abby!
Chapter 1
“Looking for adventurers willing to raid a secret dungeon!” a halfling shouted across the adventurer’s guild. She had a little booth, signs, maps -- she looked very professional, like she’d done this hundreds of times! Even as people just sort of looked at the shortstack and shook their heads, she kept her spirits high.
Well. As high as she could. Some short dragon girl was right next to her just sitting in a chair and occasionally shouting out.
“Looking for adventurers who want to make a name for themselves!” the dragon girl shouted.
The halfling looked at her and frowned. While everyone just passed by the two shorties, the halfling at least knew how to sell herself!
“I can pick any lock! Fit through small holes! Sneak past any monster!” the halfling cheered as she waved her signs, her curvy body bouncing as she tried to get as much attention as possible.
A few adventurers glanced over, but of course the dragon brat had to speak up. “I can see in the dark! Spent years studying arcana! And I’m not a coward who has to sneak!”
The halfling looked over at the dragon girl and wrinkled her nose. Her little freckles and brown skin glistened faintly under the light of sconces. “Well, I’m an accomplished adventurer! Who won’t belittle you!”
Some adventurers snickered as the two bickered.
“I’m a princess! A half-dragon princess!” the dragon brat huffed.
“I don’t have emotional baggage or a dark backstory!”
“I can breathe fire!”
“I’m not afraid of mud!”
“I’m not comically short!”
“What!?” the halfling met the dragon’s glare. “You’re tiny! And you’re not even a halfling!”
The dragoness put her foot down and tried her best to loom over the halfling. Halflings were about the only adults she could pretend to loom over, but she still was only about a head taller than the halfling.
“Well I know where Evira’s Treasure is!” they both shouted at each other.
The room fell silent for a moment. A little snicker burst from one of the adventurers’ mouths. The girls turned to look and were suddenly drowned by the laughter of the whole crowd.
“These shorties think they can get Evira’s Treasure!” a giant orc man laughed.
“They’re trying to raid a half-giant’s lair! They probably can’t even reach the door handles!”
“No wonder they’re looking for someone taller!”
“Maybe if they stood on each other’s shoulders!”
The halfling and the dragon wilted under the laughs and grumbled to themselves as they left the guild. Unfortunately, with each being rather hippy, they had to struggle for a moment before they burst free from the door to yet more laughs.
“Aye! ‘Least they’ll fit through a half-giant’s door!”
“Stupid people underestimating me because I’m short…!” they mumbled again in unison before they met each others’ eyes.
“Grrr…” the dragon clenched her jaw.
“Hrmmm…” the halfling huffed.
“I guess this means…” the halfling started.
“We’ll just have to do it ourselves!” the dragon finished.
The halfling nodded very eagerly. “You’re not half bad! You’ve got more character than any of those jerks! I’m Abby, and I think we can do this without them!”
Abby stuck her hand out. Diagora eyed it for a second before she took it and gave it a firm shake. “I’m Diagora. And even if I don’t look it, I’m really strong! If you can really pick any lock, then we don’t even need anyone else!”
The both nodded with a little “Hrmph!”
---
“It really is pretty high up there,” Abby said with her head tilted back looking right up to the large door handle. It would have to be twisted and pushed to open it up. No way to just break it down. The entire mechanism was carved from a slab of stone.
“Hrrrfffgggh…!” Diagora stretched as much as she could. She really wasn’t close to getting it. “Haaahnnn! Almost…!”
Abby shook her head as she watched the redhead struggle. “Well, why don’t you lift me up? Then I could get it!”
“What!? Be a stepping stool for a peasant?” Diagora snarled as she turned around and stared right at Abby’s flat expression. She expected something from Abby. Some convincing, a little shout, something! But the halfling just stared at her.
“...fine,” Diagora huffed. “Come on, I can pick you up easily.” Diagora squatted with her back to the door and held her hands to give Abby a boost.
The short thief stopped on her hands and climbed up the princess, using her horns like handholds to pull herself the rest of the way up.
“Oww, oww! Don’t--”
“I could use your hair!”
“Just get up there!” Diagora huffed before she was silenced by a sandal right in her face.
Abby didn’t seem to notice one bit as she stepped on Diagora’s face and stretched to turn the handle. With a loud clicking, some clattering of stone giving way, and finally a scraping, the door was slowly shoved open by the two. It swung faster than they could keep up with, and Abby flailed in the air before losing her balance and falling over.
Diagora caught the halfling in a bridal carry and glared down at her.
“Oh! Thanks!” Abby chirped. She looked at the little sandel print on Diagora’s face. “You know you’ve got a--”
Diagora dropped Abby before she could finish.
“Owww! I didn’t mean to!” Abby whined as she patted her thick rump while standing up.
Diagora rubbed her face a few times as she walked forward into the lair. “This is supposed to be Evira’s lair, right?”
“We both got the same place from different sources, so it better be!” Abby stood shoulder to shoulder with Diagora. She kind of liked not being the absolute smallest around! At least Diagora couldn’t pretend she was some lap pet. “Why?”
“She was a witch, a powerful one. Yet there’s no magic at the entrance.”
“She hasn’t been seen in fifty years. She’s probably dead, and her magic wore off.”
Diagora nodded. “That could be true. Still, she bred and tamed monsters. There might be some real nasty things lurking inside,” the princess hesitated.
“Are you scared, your highness?” Abby giggled and poked Diagora’s ribs.
Diagora let out a little laugh, which only encouraged Abby to keep poking and watch the princess laugh and squirm away. “Stop it! I’m not scared!”
“Then good!” Abby stuck out her tongue. “Come on, let’s go!”
Abby marched forward, not a care in the world. She was going to get a legendary half-giant’s treasure! So what if she might have to share a little of it! At least Diagora wasn’t as pompous as she first seemed.
The two shorties made their way into the dungeon with Abby leading all too eagerly. She was light on her feet for being so thicc, and being an expert adventurer, she had a bit of a more intuitive grasp of the dangers they faced. She stopped for a moment even as Diagora blundered on ahead.
“Hm?” Abby turned and looked up. The hairs on the back of her neck were standing.
“What is it?” Diagora asked as she stopped.
“There!” Abby pointed up before dodging out of the way of a strange black slime that plopped down right on Diagora.
Diagora flailed with the strange goop all over her and thrashed about. The slime circled and oozed around her, bubbling slightly as her clothes started to melt away. But the dragon girl prevailed and managed to claw her way out of the goop before it got too good a hold. A bit of the goop stuck to her stockings and dress, ever so slowly eating away at it.
“Ew! Ew! Ewwww!” Diagora whined as she tried to flick the slime off. “It’s so sticky and gross!”
Abby giggled. Then laughed. “You’re such a princess!”
“Shut up!” Diagora whined.
“Oh, look out!”
The slime lunged at Diagora again, but she managed to narrowly avoid getting gooped on all over.
“Use your magic!” Abby cheered while standing quite a bit back. “You’re great with arcana stuff, right?”
Diagora struggled to regain her balance. She peered at the slime and took a step backward. It seemed more interested in her than Abby. Maybe it was detecting her extra body heat. “I can’t really cast many spells!” Diagora whined.
“...what?” Abby blinked.
Diagora yelped as the ooze launched again, this time aiming for her feet. Diagora tried to get out of the way, but before long, her feet were stuck to the ground as the ooze started to climb up her. “Get off me!” she huffed before inhaling deeply.
A bit of light shone from her nose as fire built within her, but that only attracted the black slime more! It suddenly hurled itself onto her face, surprising the princess and sending her toppling over and getting completely covered in the black goop.
She wiggled about uselessly in the confines off the strange slime. It wiggled and tugged and vibrated around her, trying to pull her into a ball and keep her still even while she generated more and more body heat!
The slime bubbled and oozed, becoming more and more viscous by the second. It pooled into Diagora’s clothes and reduced most of what was left of her fine dress into more black slime.
“A-ah, I’ll just…” Abby took a few steps back. She felt bad about leaving Diagora to get nommed by the slime, but she couldn’t really do anything about it! The halfling turned to leave, but the slime burbled and rushed toward her, carrying Diagora inside.
With Diagora’s extra heat, it was far faster than before, and Abby couldn’t evade the creature as it just covered her entire body and squished her into its center right by Diagora.
Abby squirmed and tried to swim inside the slime, but before long, she found herself pressed right up against the dragon girl, her legs pulled together, arms stuck to her side, mashing right into Diagora’s breasts as the slime squeezed the two of them and bubbled and vibrated almost as if it was happy with its catch.
Any sounds of protest either could manage were immediately transformed to muffled moans and squealing protests. They squirmed and wriggled like useless worms into the slime monster. Any attempt at getting headway completely failing.
“Hfff! Hrrmmmmmfff!” Diagora, having so rarely been held captive like this, struggled with every last bit of her strength! Even with the goo wobbling and rippling a little around her, she wasn’t getting anymore, and her exertions quickly turned into helplessly quieted pants and gasps while the ooze started to delve into her.
It wriggled and teased against their slits, forcing their eyes to rolls and a renewed struggle from the both of them as they were tormented by the mindless slime all too happy to find any way to tire them out.
“Nnrrrmmph!” Even Abby, with a bit more experience, couldn’t keep her face straight. Sounds of forced arousal forced her lips open as goo flooded inside, gagging her and forcing a supply of air for her. Her renewed squirming only made Diagora try harder, and they were each given a front row seat to how pathetic the other looked, squirming and bound and being teased by this thing!
It slowly started to ooze away with its captives, intent on delivering them somewhere.
Perhaps this was it for the two shorties! They were going to be trapped by the slime and delivered to the half-giant! Two intruders caught!
GAME OVER…?
The slime suddenly halted.
From its core, a slow, pulsating red light encircled the two captives. It pulsated faster and faster, and the slime struggled as best it could to squeeze them and keep them in place, even shoving them against the ground and pushing against them.
Runes around the half-giant’s lair lit up. Magic swirled around the slime and resonated with Diagora’s internal reservoir. While she couldn’t cast a spell to save her life, her magical nature did have a perk of flooding the lair with excess magic that the slime couldn’t readily absorb!
The magic focused around the whole slime before it zeroed in on Diagora specifically. She was completely covered in a red aura as she struggled inside the slime, bumping and shoving herself against Abby the whole time.
A secondary aura radiated from Abby. A deep blue that mixed with the red aura, creating a faint purple glow that illuminated the lair.
The glow intensified before shrinking away into Diagora and shrinking the poor dragon down! She barely knew what was going on, but as the slime recoiled from the free space inside itself and tried to quickly compress around Diagora, she managed to breathe all the fire she had prepared earlier.
A blast of flame that the slime hungrily absorbed. More and more! She let loose a torrent as best she could as the slime almost started to boil! Though the slime itself didn’t heat up, its consistency lessened by the moment until, rather suddenly, it sploshed down like water, completely incapable of holding its form any longer.
Diagora panted on the puddle of what used to be the slime. Abby quickly got to her feet and looked around. ...weird, she never got this lucky! She tugged on Diagora to get her up and get moving.
The two quickly ran to the next room.
“Phew! You really saved us back there prin--” Abby stopped mid sentence as she stared at Diagora.
Diagora huffed and panted as she tried desperately to fill her lungs again. “Keep going! I deserve the praise!”
“Ah… ahm…” Abby put a hand on her head and then slid it while keeping it even until it hit one of Diagora’s horns.
Diagora blinked cluelessly. She looked up and down Abby, then herself.
“Ah!? How did I get shorter!?” she cried!
She was the same height as Abby now. Her diminuitive form now effectively equal to Abby’s.
“Awwh! I think you look cute like that!” Abby giggled, glad to finally have someone her own size around! “Come on, we have more to explore!”
Abby hummed as she walked forward. Her clothes had remained relatively unscathed, even though Diagora was more or less reduced to wearing rags.
“You want to keep going after that?” Diagora protested.
“Well, yeah. We’d have to go back through that room to get out! And uhm…” The ooze gurgled from the otherside of the door. “Pretty sure that’d be hard…”
Diagora pouted. “...can’t believe I’m shorter…”
“You’re like a cute kobold girl! That’s way more approachable!” Abby giggled as she patted Diagora on the head.
“Let’s just find this dumb treasure!” the princess pouted and walked deeper into the dungeon.
