Health: I have FINALLY shaken most of the pneumonia. The special inhaler I got from my pulmonologist has been doing its job. I get maybe one or two coughing fits still a day, but they're much more manageable than they used to be.
Kiddo: Just got done with the school musical - so no more out at rehearsal until 7 at night.

Okay so... second round of treatment has helped, and is finished. However, I'm still probably about 65% healthy. Lungs are still trying to periodically drown me, and breathing is difficult.
Luckily, I do see my pulmonologist tomorrow. So, fingers crossed. Hopefully he can help.

So... I'd forgotten how horrific pneumonia is. It has been almost two weeks now since the diagnosis and I have to say, I'm only just starting to recover.
I am hoping to be able to get a few chapters written this week. If I can't, I will be pausing membership again.

This has been a pretty shit month for me. Frankly 2025 is top of my list for worst years ever. Nothing to do with y'all or with stories... just with life hitting me with sickness, after sickness, followed by injury, kid health problems, and then family death hahah.
I made it to Australia just in time. I got to spend about 24 hours with my dad where he was coherent enough to talk and was reminded that we had a few more happy memories than I'd recalled.

So, expanding on the last post I made. I'm currently sitting in the airport again awaiting the first of three flights to Brisbane Australia, so I can go and see my dad who has just been placed into hospice care.
It's not the trip I wanted to make.
