It serviced the redlined community of Altadena, and was ahead of its time, becoming one of the first black owned theaters in Southern California, in 1972 (Same year as Superfly). There have been multiple campaigns to try to restore or revive the area and it just never happened. I lived a couple blocks away for several years and it sucked to see it decay. Set time limits, be aware of what he is watching, and go about it like you would every other aspect of parenting. It's a challenge, but so is everything about being a parent. And yeah, kids will play stupid shit if you let them. They'll watch stupid movies and watch stupid cartoons if you let them, too. It's all about what you give them access to.
