Black Sunday makes me a little queasy to think about rewatching in the current geopolitical climate and how Palestinians are portrayed as terrorists and Mossad portrayed as heroes, falling in line with right wing views…but I genuinely trust the boys to acknowledge the white supremacy at play in the writing & environment in which it was written. They always do & it’s super appreciated🫶🏻

‘Super Fly’- easily in the top five soundtracks by a recording artist of all time. Curtis Mayfield, man, what a talent.

Watch 1-2 episodes at least to feel it out. Most of my gripes were with his family.

Right there with you, especially enjoyed The Day of the Jackal. Did you watch the TV show by chance? I don’t know if I can recommend it. It isn’t terrible in the sense it’s nice to revisit the character but the writing is bad any time they don’t follow the original films flow. You generally know the beats but any time it deviates to stretch it out for TV it’s rough. Also, Eddie Redmayne is fine but he doesn’t have the same level of cold/heartless as Fox. I kept thinking about how much better it would be with Fassbender.

A recommendation for Zombie Squade, I recently started watching Columbo and has a lot of great eps.
First ep directed by Speilberg
Ep with Roddy McDowell, has some really fun moments
Ep with Martin Landau playing twins and Columbo keeps pissing off the maid with his cigar and screwing up her TV.
Robert Culp using subliminal images, where I kept thinking of the Fight Club dick insert

I haven’t seen most of these and I can’t wait. I love when I find a new favorite movie through ABZ. The Long Good Friday, Westworld and the Day of the Jackal are now some of my favorites thanks to the pod

Never saw Black Sunday but that VHS cover always stuck out in my mind. My dad told me what it was about and it blew my little mind. Can’t wait to see if reality holds up to my kid imagination!
