I google them I look and I draw XD first the outline then the "inside". If I get the outline right I simply fill it with whatever shapes I want. I don't like tracing real life photos because I don't find them fitting for my style, it looks weird. But I just look at the real pic and draw free hand it looks better. And for Ochako's shoes I literally draw from head haha no refs used
