Hi everyone, here is the latest animation featuring Houshou Marine from Hololive JP!

There were a bunch of new things that I've been trying lately to improve my animation quality and to be honest, I probably bit off a bit more than I chew with this one considering how much longer than usual it took me to finish this, but to be honest, I'm really happy with the result this time!

One of the main things I've been trying to work on lately is being more detailed and consistent with the lighting and the coloring on my animation. In the past, I would actually leave the cell shading pretty simple and do a lot of detail work through gradients, clever use of clipping layers, and a bit of freehand drawing here and there. While the results were usually pretty good, I found this approach to be pretty inconsistent in terms of quality and appearance so I've been mainly working on trying to do more of the coloring and lighting through cell shading. I feel like this, in combination with some of the neat plugins I've found in resolve, has really made the animations pop visually a lot more! I'll continue to try and refine my newer approach so I can speed it up and be a bit more consistant with my releases. I know the schedule has been a bit rocky lately, but I really appreciate everyone who's stuck around. Genuinely, I appreciate it.

I've also decided to outsource the sound design since I've feel like I've gotten as far as I can with my meager sound designing skills and I'd like to continue to improve the animations in every aspect, not just visuals. Shoutout to HentAudio who I think did a really great job with the sfx on this one! I would also like to give props to my voice actress this time, Tomato Manme, who I think genuinely turned into Houshou Marine at around the 45 second mark!
