All 1.17 blocks are now done, I'll work on 1.17 items next.
I'm getting lots of user reports on 1.17 128x pack crashing the game when it used to run fine in 1.16, it's most likely due to minecraft migrating to different java version in 1.17, changes to the game engine, or bug in optifine. Because the few additional 1.17 block textures shouldn't make such a huge difference, and there are actually less animated textures (a big source of performance impact) in the packs now. So if you're also getting crashes from the 128x pack, I would suggest either disabling all animated textures, or try using a lower res versions, or wait and hope for minecraft/optifine to fix it.
Updated the custom block properties files with some fixes.
Added some steampunk/dieselpunk builds using the new copper blocks and elven/druid builds using the new plants to the rp test map.
===============================
You can download the pack here (works with any 1.17 versions):
https://www.patreon.com/posts/update-40-58181233
Click on the files inside the folders individually to download them
Basic: all required essential vanilla textures
Addon: optional extra biome-specific textures that fits vanilla gameplay
Bonus: optional extra biome-specific textures that doesn't fit vanilla gameplay
Items: item and armor textures
Models: optional extra custom models, works with any res versions
The "basic" pack need to be loaded at the bottom (just above default pack), and the optional packs can be loaded on top in any order.
The texture resolution for "basic", "addon", and "bonus" pack need to match each other for pathtracing to work properly, but you can use whatever res you like for the "items" and "models" pack.
The extra grass in the "models" pack works best with SEUS PTGI HRR and "Smooth Lighting" option disabled. Otherwise I don't recommend using the "models" pack.
Please check the included "features list" text file inside each optional pack to see detail descriptions of what they add, or how to remove unwanted features in the "models" pack.
!! Don't try the 256x versions unless you have >48GB of RAM+VRAM !!
Make sure these settings are set correctly, or else the textures will get messed up:
"Quality Settings > Connected Textures" to Fancy
"Quality Settings > Natural Textures" to Off
"Quality Settings > Custom Colors" to On
"Quality Settings > Anisotropic Filtering" to OFF
"Detail Settings > Alternate Blocks" to On
"Detail Settings > Trees" to Smart or Fancy
"Performance Settings > Smart Animations" to On
"Shaders > Shader Options > Raytracing Options > Full Raytrace Reflections" to On (for SEUS PTGI shader only)
"Shaders > Shader Options > Texture Resolution" to match the res of the pack you're using (for SEUS PTGI shader only)
Optionally could download the block properties file included in the download link and use it to overwrite the same file inside SEUS PTGI shaderpack. The file adds several fixes, and makes ore crystals glow if you enable "glowing redstone block" or makes the bonus pack scifi panels glow if you enable "glowing emerald block" in the shader options.

Since I've already made posts explaining various common problems with my pack and mediafire, any comments/questions on these matters or things already written in this post will likely be ignored.
Feel free to leave some feedbacks for the existing textures, or suggestions for new block textures!
so you need RAM to make this combo run well? I have a Ryzen 7 3700x, 16 RAM (3000mhz) and An RTX 2080Ti And I never reach 40 fps :3
2022-01-25 18:31:01 +0000 UTC
I can run 128x with 7700k, 32gb ram, 1070ti with seus renewed at 60-100fps. Seus renewed is pretty close to the ptgi, without some of the fancy extra stuff, but it runs twice as well. I'm also on fabric with sodium, indium, continuity and iris, which is basically upgraded optifine.

So sorry. I just checked. In fact, you are right. Optifine doesn't want to save my settings for some reason. I re-installed and now the game runs at 3-7 fps. I'm moving to the 128x version. Please, take my sincere apologies.

That's how I know you're not using connected texture, because if you were, the custom ctm textures in my pack will overwrite the placeholder vanilla ones in the block folder

I have "connected textures" enabled and the pack is fully loaded and running. I used to be a beta tester and I know what I'm doing :-) I opened the Patrix_1.17_256x_basic.zip file. In "block" folder (assets > minecraft > textures > block) the PNG file "blast_furnace_front_on" is 1 KB, and when I open it, it displays the default Minecraft texture. I don't want to be picky, I'm just giving you feedback.
2021-09-23 13:34:19 +0000 UTC
Sounds like you don't have connected textures enabled/working, that's probably also why you're able to run 256x without problem, because 90% of the pack aren't actually loaded.

I have Ryzen 9 5950x, 64GB RAM and RTX 3090 24GB and I play at 1080p. I updated everything - bios, drivers, java. Try different kind of RAM allocations in Optifine. But be careful, giving it too much RAM can cause issues. Also may help if you set render distance to low or try to turn off some settings.
2021-09-23 06:45:36 +0000 UTC
How are you not crashing? I have 64 GB of RAM and 12 GB of VRAM myself and I crash as soon as it loads.

Not atm but planned for next month, but it's useless to you anyways since Iris doesn't even support PBR materials yet.

Not my fault if you didn't read: "Since I've already made posts explaining various common problems with my pack and mediafire, any comments/questions on these matters or things already written in this post will likely be ignored."
No fabric-based mods supports custom tints isn't my problem nor a bug on my end either, go complain to fabric devs.

This texture pack looks phenomenal. I'm using the 256x version and the game looks gorgeous. I found only one thing. When the blast furnace is turned on for ore smelting, it uses the default Minecraft texture on the front side.
2021-09-22 12:39:30 +0000 UTC
Not answering is not a hint, a hint would have been: "Look at the common problems section." But the problem is that I don't use Optifine, but Iris and other mods instead, so all the settings you describe to set are not really translatable. Because you need different mods to add different functionality that Optifine has by default but Iris does not. That's why it would be nice if you could also add settings/mods and their options if using Fabric. That would probably be a good option, cause your pack in the higher resolutions is really performance heavy as you know, so it works the most performant with all the performant mods for Minecraft.
If you want I can help you to get started with the mods that are needed to cover the features needed for your pack.

Does your pack have Emissiv-Textures, if not will you add them? Cause I use complementary shaders for example and the integrated PBR has some cool stuff like emissiv torches lanterns, glowing eyes and so on, while when I use your pack I need to put it in SEUS PBR mode to have correct interpretation for the anvil and so on under Iris, but then I have no emissivness.

I'm pretty new to this. Does this pack work with the Windows 10 Bedrock version of the game? My understanding is that there should be a .mcpack file to utilize via the Windows version of Minecraft, though I'm seeing pack.mcmeta and such. Any suggestions on how to proceed / will this work in my version of the game?

I keep trying to find another resource pack to doesn't have blood nd guts for the nether, but keep coming back to yours. All others just fail. I keep trying to find another hi-res pack because of a few textures in yours just don't seem to agree to me. Nether warts changed to beating hearts, netherrack changed to bleeding pulsating intestines, netherack gold ore changed to intestings with what looks like rotting sores, nether quarts ore looking like bones in intestines, and soul sand looking like dead intestines. Any chance to have these blocks look more reminiscent of their minecraft originals and put the artistic changes into a bonus pack? All I have loaded is 128x basic and items. Being able to customize the pack is part of what makes this pack great. Being able to choose whether to have blood and guts would make your resource pack that much better.
