Updated to 1.17+ format
Any gold tier and above supporters can access the work-in-progress channel on my patron discord for early versions, otherwise it'll be released next month as usual.

If you're using the addon pack, the pointed dripstone will use ice texture in any snowing biomes, mossy cobblestone in any dark forest/jungle/swamp biomes, and blackstone in any nether biomes.

Since mojang added actual candles in 1.17, there's no need for my custom dry seapickle candles anymore. So I changed 1~3 dry seapickles to medieval style tankards/cups, and 4 dry seapickles to a wooden bowl of randomized food that's using the same texture system as the petrified oak slab food baskets.

Also since mojang added actual moss block now, I've removed the moss texture for green terracotta in addon pack too.

Due to popular feedback, I've swapped the natural sea lantern to basic pack and fluorescent light sea lantern to addon pack, but the biome requirements of the natural version only showing in ocean type biomes are left unchanged. If you prefer the natural sea lantern texture for all biomes, just don't use the addon pack (or edit it yourself).

LOTS of background file reorganization and renaming, so don't use older versions with this new version because textures and models will likely break.

Updated and added the 1.17 blocks to the rp test map, made two new small structures, and moved the item display wall even further out with a lag warning text hovering above.

===============================

You can download the pack here (works with any 1.17 versions):

https://www.patreon.com/posts/update-40-58181233

Click on the files inside the folders individually to download them

The "basic" pack need to be loaded at the bottom (just above default pack), and the optional packs can be loaded on top in any order.

The texture resolution for "basic", "addon", and "bonus" pack need to match each other for pathtracing to work properly, but you can use whatever res you like for the "items" and "models" pack.

The extra grass in the "models" pack works best with SEUS PTGI HRR and "Smooth Lighting" option disabled. Otherwise I don't recommend using the "models" pack.

Please check the included "features list" text file inside each optional pack to see detail descriptions of what they add, or how to remove unwanted features in the "models" pack.

!! Don't try the 256x versions unless you have >48GB of RAM+VRAM !!

Make sure these settings are set correctly, or else the textures will get messed up:

Optionally could download the block properties file included in the download link and use it to overwrite the same file inside SEUS PTGI shaderpack.
The file adds several fixes, and makes ore crystals glow if you enable "glowing redstone block" or makes the bonus pack scifi panels glow if you enable "glowing emerald block" in the shader options.

Since I've already made posts explaining various common problems with my pack and mediafire, any comments/questions on these matters or things already written in this post will likely be ignored.

Feel free to leave some feedbacks for the existing textures, or suggestions for new block textures!

I’m able to get 90-100 fps with the 64x version on an i9-9900 and a 3080, and 70 with 128, all at 1440p using SEUS HRR 2.1. Make sure you’ve allocated a solid 10+ gigabytes of RAM to Minecraft and used all the recommended settings.

Alex

it isnt really made to run with complimentary, try using seus ptgi. Running that with a 3070 and a 3600x and getting 50-60fps and over with 12 render distance.

Alistair Cartland

I have an RTX 3080 with intel 11th gen i7 11700KF and 32Gb of ram. And i get 55-60FPS with 128x

123darkwizard12

3080 with i9-10900k can't even run the 128x with complenmentary shader, it's like 20 fps

Luke Lei

yep I have a RTX 3060 and still can't run 128x :))

Tuấn Dũng Nguyễn Hữu

Update on this problem: I actually haven't make the conduit swirling animation texture yet, so currently the game is still using the vanilla low res version, but the game somehow automatically upscales the texture to fit the 128x pack, which makes the texture 1024x res (because in vanilla 16x it's already at 64x res), hence crashing the game. Technically the problem is not due to my pack (I didn't include any texture for it), more like a weird quirk with how minecraft/optifine handles the texture. Fortunately I found a workaround by including a blank and unanimated texture as placeholder. It'll be included in the next update.

patrix

I have a problem with the 128x loading me and it automatically removes any recommendations from the game?

Master Gaming

I am also unable to run 128x without crash to desktop...not sure why that would be. I will miss your texture pack <3.

Christopher A Horner

Maybe you should think about what you said, if you can run the 128x pack just fine in 1.16, and it crashes in 1.17, why would you think the problem is with my pack? Especially when there's nothing changed regarding "conduits" that you claimed was crashing your game in the PM.

patrix

I've never talked about 256x pack, my PC as you know its able to runit in 1.16 and I know it's no posible way at the moment to try it on 1.17. I'm talking about 1.17 and 128x ... And yes, I'm being able to runit (128x) without problems just the one I described to you (in a private message) maybe it's good idea to check that message.

Javier R

And just because I uploaded something doesn't mean everyone should be able to run it, look at the 256x pack. If you can't run it, either upgrade your pc, wait for some miracle to happen that makes minecraft way more optimized, or use a lower res version.

patrix

"there is no way to blame 1.17 minecraft", if you actually know what's changed from 1.16 to 1.17 in my pack, you know how little difference it should make, and in fact it should even be faster to run since I removed some animated texture/interpolation. So yes I do think it's minecraft java/optifine fucking up, especially since minecraft upgraded its java version in 1.17 and it might've changed how stuff works in the back end.

patrix

I'm having the same problem with 128x, and I think there is no way to blame 1.17 minecraft, if so... What is the purpose to use it? when this pack is intended for minecraft and it said "Updated to 1.17+ format"

Javier R

With Optifine finally out of the "Preview" Stage, I still cannot run the 128x texture pack without the game crashing

Walker

Hi ILuckyWins. Just use a downloader like "jdownloader" copy the link in your browser and paste it to the downloader. Should take a few minutes to download the whole content.

Einherjar

saws you ran out of bandwith i cant download files from mediafire

ILuckyWins

You would need Optifine and a shader pack. Sonic Ether's SEUS PTGI HRR is the one Patrix uses

Too Much Sascha

Copper ore appears to be broken in the 64x64 pack EDIT oh wait nvm it's just because this is still in progress, my b

Too Much Sascha

How do I get my 3D models to do that? My models just sort of oof themselves and look flat and boring. How do I get that shine.

Max Yang

I know you said dont do it with less than 48, but Ive got 32gb of ram and a 3080ti, am I close enough or should I add more ram first

SamboJambo [LTM]

patrix

the patrix resource pack in 128x looks very good but I can only run it for 2 seconds and then my game crashes but the weird thing is I can run the 1.16 version of patrix in 128x why is that?

dino right

id like to know to

Teddy Pranion

Damn, 48 Gb of combined RAM. You ain't fuckin' around. XD

SumRando1994

where do i find the higher rez version

cade

Copper is a glaring thing missing now that the pack is so great. Will be able to get that soon? Does anyone have suggestions where to get it from an alternative pack in the meantime?

plasmarob

check the "features list" text file in the addon pack for reference, they're unlit signal-fire campfires

patrix

how do you do the stacked piles of wood that are campfires. When I do it they have space between them.

Jared Bell

Since I have come out of the shadows to comment let me say that I love the work that Patrix has done on these textures, they look OUTSTANDING on my 1.16.2 & 1.16.5 games! I use Sildur's Vibrant Shaders 283 Extreme and my game looks great (though I wish the night sky looked more interesting and the stars actually moved like they do in other shaders). I tried the recommended SEUS shader and my FPS dropped so low it was unplayable but not so with Sildur's or other shaders.

Daniel Martin

As mentioned above, I too am having some difficulty using the 128x texture resolution with 1.17.1. My game always crashes in seconds after arriving in my world. Never had a problem with that rez on 1.16.2 and 1.16.5. Replace the 128x rez pack with the 64x and no problem but I'm spoiled with the looks of the higher rez. Hmmmmmmmm. Whaddaya think?

Daniel Martin

So this problem wasn't mentioned in the post, but I can run every other texture resolution except for 128x. I can run it on 1.16.5 but not 1.17.1. I have 32 GB ram and 24 GB VRAM

Walker

I still having trouble with the hanging stuff from the stone type and nether blocks blocking my view especially when mining. I have gone through the settings several times and the other suggested settings in the links you have posted here.
