Now he's done it.
Kind of enjoying the buildup here. This is the first significant sequence I can think of where we take the character from a relatively peaceful place and then put her in a situation that triggers a change. Most of my sequences start mid-crisis or with a random exposure to a mutagenic substance or the full moon. (Or they're fist TF/origin sequences.) This gives it more the feel of an episode of the old Hulk show--or an old Saturday morning cartoon, which is where the Cro-Magna draws its influence from.
In that vein, I hope the open, upright palm and lack of followthrough helps make it clear that the henchman is more shoving Dana than striking her. In the 1980's, a male villian striking a female character would not have flown on network Saturday morning TV, I don't think--at least in the USA.
