That actor who played "Zor-El" was also in supernatural. He played one of the creepier demons in the show.

I feel like a traitor saying this, but Helen Slater’s ethereal quality just doesn’t give her enough gravitas for me. The acting was fine, the dialogue was fine. But my personal expectations were more ‘action-capable’. I love that they did the tie in with a beloved Superman access, I just wasn’t moved to feel pain when she was gone. *puts on dog cone of shame*
I apologize if I upset anyone, but I thought I should be honest in my perspective.
Kara development was outstanding. I love the amnesia in Detroit ending.
Christopher Heyerdahl was a perfect cast. He did a stint on Supernatural that was breathtaking. I wish they had used him more.
I think Lois and Grant have fantastic chemistry and I love they are rebels together. But ultimately Chloe is right. Certainly when Smallville aired and even today, it’s a really bad move for both of them. If it’s meant to be, take a six month break. And then decide - Daily Planet or kindred soul. But that’s neither Lois or Grant. So, I totally buy the plot development.
I did NOT see Grant= Julian. My 50-50 hindsight causes me to have Lex feels - although he is a psychopath at this point (I think).
I LOVED the Clana moment at the end. It showed how much they both want the magic they have. I know Lana’s trauma needs professional help (she had Lionel in a cabin trapped with a bear claw around his hand). Hugs and muffins won’t fix this.
And finally Chloe. The clear eyed observer serving up truths and threats. She was right to talk to Lois and was reasonably gentle about it. She validated Lois earned her job. She truly loves Lois (she died for her!). For Lana, I wish she had been more gentle. I wish she had said that Lana needs to get help. That with Isis foundation money, she could afford to hire an actual therapist, bring her in the know on meteor infected, and make herself client #1. Or go to a private therapist and talk about Lex faked her pregnancy. Either would have helped. But Chloe laid down the law with Lana pretty harshly: I will stop you if you hurt Clark. Harsh. And not the right approach IMO. Good drama, but not how I think she should have handled it.
