But yeah it's been nice to expand on some bits and minimalize others (like for example, the banter after this bit's cut off and next page is the last of 11. Mostly because 11 is *extremely* long at this point and I didn't feel it'd fit.)

2024-12-02 18:00:40 +0000 UTCI'm enjoying seeing Raz's internal dialogue here as well as the entire expanded treatment of his turning point. For the people who haven't read the novel you didn't see his thoughts there as it's written from Neri's perspective only, and he just slaps the side of her nose and it takes a bit to find out what it meant. So this is a nice combination of condensing yet expanding the same part of the story.

2024-12-02 18:00:07 +0000 UTCWhen the tether snaps, angels go poof really quickly. Gauzier himself had to stop and since both of their priests are back at the house they have similar range limits. Assuming he bought the whole fake fight post-window smash (and it basically looks like he did) and didn't question Neri coming back to snatch Raz out of his fall (he might've assumed she wanted to take care of him personally rather than let the fall kill him) then "he's going to tether to the demon who tried to kill him" might not be the first thought he has as they reach critical distance. Then again he's a conniving bastard so he might think that's exactly what he's going to do and then go back, sulk, and plan more.
