Andor S2E10 Watch A Long

Hey Peaches! Luthen's mole at the ISB has hit pay dirt, and found out about the Death Star. Unfortunately for Luthen, Dedra has finally found him. Can Luthen cover his tracks and get the info to the Rebels? And how did he become an antiquities dealer?

No...Jay/Adama will probably never see this, but no lol I mentioned this on a previous reaction when Jay was talking about the OT not expressing how bad facisim/the Empire is... 1977 Star Wars: A New Hope was emulating the tone ~35 years after the fall of global fascism. Media from 1945 on was always assuming the horrors of 1930's rise of fascism as a given, so the tone was always the heroics of fighting that and quelling it. George Lucas's THX 1138 went relatively hard on how fascism works...so its not like Lucas didnt want to touch the subject. He did. But he made the choice to go pulp with Star Wars in order to appeal to a generation much removed from the 1930's, in a way THX 1138 failed to do. I appreciate Lucas's attempt to bring the warning signs of historical fascism back to the populace wrapped up in a sci fi fantasy. It helped bring the conversation back to younger generations that other media couldn't. And despite the online vitriol to the prequels from 1999 on, my God, that movie has been quoted and memed more than any other other film/tv show over the last 10 years as fascism/authoritarianism continues to grow and spread. Thats a testament to what star Wars attempted to do before now. Andor is a testament to what needs to be in the here and now of 2025. Im sure George Lucas is proud, but dont dismiss Lucas's Star Wars that proceeded it. Without the Prequels and Clone Wars tv series, there would be nothing close to Andor.

I really enjoyed how Adam immediately knew Luthen was going to kill Loni and Jay immediately knew Kleya had no intention of rescuing Luthen.

I’m really getting tired of people shitting on the original trilogy and everything that came before. Yes it’s a space opera it’s a different vibe. But don’t start treating Luke and Obi-Wan, as if they came in at the end and made it look easy yada yada yada ..like they’re just meh. NO!!!

JRW 1971

Kleya going all Splinter Cell (especially doming that trooper) is something I didn't know that I needed. Top notch
