Things that are left ambiguous are meant to be ambiguous. Andor loves the use of negative space, including the O in andor in the intro lol

2025-10-24 20:39:33 +0000 UTCThe hatred about midichlorians is childish at this point. "Your father was strong in the Force. And so are you"...thats the OT talking. Its suggested to be a biological inheritance from the very start. Having an "off the rails"/"maverick" Jedi master in the past spending time to study the science of that, changes nothing about how the force works in the OT. Qui Gon took routes the other Jedi in the council didn't, studied things they didnt, followed things they didn't follow. This was just another expression of that. Qui Gon said everyone has midichlorians in their body. It doesn't create the force, or bring it. It just helps facilitate it, and the more you have the stronger it is. It makes sense there is a quantifiable biological component to it, and it makes sense someone like Qui Gon cared about that. It also makes sense why someone like Yoda didn't care about the science. The problem with the Jedi Order was that they were TOO rigid and unwavering about their zealotry of the force. There is nothing wrong about its inclusion in the sequels considering the narrative arc of those sequels.
