Of course the new power team of Rhaenyra and the White Worm help move those bad things along. Oh and dragons are tired of people trying to ride them, they can choose their own riders, thank you very much.

Obviously the dragon chooses the wizard master potter, and now she’s gonna go find valaryon and Targaryen bastards to be dragon riders because clearly that works. Also apparently (because family trees are complicated) addam and alyn are not Corlys bastards, they’re Laenor’s? Maybe. That might be a book thing and not a show thing. But clearly bastards are closer to direct lineage than the records she was finding. Right idea, wrong angle.
