Avatar the Last Airbender (Live Action) S1E01 Watch A Long

Hey Peaches! Time to start again, but this time, the story starts a little further back in time. We get to see how life was before the Fire Nation attacked, and then actually see the Fire Lord Order 66 the Airbenders. This was a great start to the first Live Action retelling of AtLA.....

That’s about the last era I consistently watched wrestling. 🤣❤️

Maybe I’m wrong, but new thought… I submit Anakin/Vader is Fire Nation and Obi-Wan is an Air Nomad. Obi-Wan would rather not fight you if given the choice. I love the moment too when a main cast figures out what the right thing to do is. Usually they’re not even obviously a group yet, but there’s something morally good about the character they need to help. “Damn it fine! We’ll take the risk! Cue series!”

Well judging the size of the fire/coal room it would probably take at least 3 to heat it and they might need to be bending constantly. Based on usual tired-out times of people in universe it doesn't seem doable unless they had like 5 teams (of a least three people each) rotating constantly and then also those benders wouldn't be available if things went 'wrong' with the earthbender prisoners.

Having the episode begin at the air temple and end there, really shows that to Aang it was only a couple days for him between a lively community and it being destroyed for a 100 years. Raises the stakes.

Ultimate Warrior was one of my faves.

After Zuko utters the "I need to be at my best when I face the world's ultimate warrior" line, Adam shook the ropes and shouted brother!! So i'm sitting here feeling like Captain America in The Avengers and saying " I do!! I understood that reference" :P I'm really enjoying the live action version of this!! The locations are just glorious too, especially the Air Temple.

It was a great iteration of the original story. NO, this is NOT a mirror of the OG story, they had to make changes. However, the changes were EXCELLENT and done in a way the explains their presence/inclusion and WHY it exists. They show us, the audience, more of the S. Air Temple, Monk Gyatso and the council, Air Bison and more. They did NOT skimp on the bendings animations or capabilities. IF you have issue with this show, I recommend rewatching it, knowing it's not the OG ATLAB and you may enjoy it more.......or don't, doesn't really matter to the world. I can't WAIT for next season, Toph is going to be a MENACE!!

I think everyone did the arithmetic on how many minutes both shows have for one season. But it doesn’t really work out like you’d think. With many short episodes you can just start into a new story arc at the beginning of each of them and can have a beginning, climax, and end every twenty minutes. You can’t just cram that into 50-minute episodes. And you can get away with faster action and scene changes in animation, especially a kids’ show. After watching the whole season of the live-action show, I’d say that having only eight episodes hurt the pacing and character development. Overall I still think it’s a good, albeit somewhat flawed, adaptation.

Why are the fire nation ships bothering with burning coal when they have fire benders who can heat up the boilers on their own?

It is awesome! The people hating on this are going to hate it no matter what. Personally, I'm having a lot of fun with it and I'm glad you guys are as well!
