Wheel of Time S2E03 Watch A Long

Hey Peaches! Nyeneve gets her Aes Sedai test. Just facing a few little fears, NBD. While she's away Elaine makes a play at being Egwene's number one bestie, while Rand continues to get it on with a sexy inn owner who is definitely exactly as she appears and is in no way evil. Oh, and the Seanchan have captured Perrin and his troop and show how straight totally evil they are.

It wasn't just you. I empathize with the editor and the work he'll have to do to sync it lol

Not gonna lie I got so confused when he was like "If you wanna see the full unedited reaction check out..." I was like, "Isn't this the full reaction?? ????" xD This is my first watchalong lol

Danssort

I'm not sure if everyone knows, but Adam read the books. Lol

Nomi Saxton

While what we saw happen to Uno is worse than what we got on page in the books, recall that in book 2 there were towns Hurin wouldn't enter because even weeks after the fact the places where the Seanchan had made examples of people made him sick.

Yeah, Nynaeve's trials were all about her being helpless to save/protect her loved ones. In the first one, with her parents, she's faced with the possibility of staying to help, despite knowing she lacked the power to help them. She has to return and leave her parents to die all over again. In the second one, the plague is killing the two rivers folk, and she could stay as a wisdom, be what she used to be for them, but who knows if she'd be able to heal them all with mundane medicine? She'd need to return to the tower and learn to be a better healer, a good enough one to help. But also, leaving them would surely mean their deaths. But again, she's scared of her power, it's too much. In the third one, she's faced with the choice of being selfish and pridefui, or staying to learn, and that's why the arch flickers there a bit. it technically came and went (like it does in the books), because she made the choice to succumb to the selfish desire to settle down with Lan in the Two Rivers and let the world burn around them. The latter part where the trollocs attack is the result of that selfishness, and she had to face the consequences of that fear brought to fruition, and the loss of her daughter she'd raised as a result. Had she stayed and trained, she would have been powerful enough to turn back the tide and save her loved ones, but instead they die in front of her, with her potential unfulfilled. She's going to be so messed up after this. Liandrin's real calculated in this episode, tearing Mat down, knowing if he's in a dark enough headspace that he wouldn't go to Egwene, he'd run. And setting the scenario up with Min so he'd have someone to get him where she wants him to go. 3D chess. Kate Fleetwood is killing it this year, proving they were right to give her all this screentime.
