House of the Dragon S1E10 Watch Along

Hey Peaches! What a day. Thank you for your patience as we got through Quantumania. The final episode of House of the Dragon and it is a doozy. Rhaenyra gets her crown, and her 'house' in order. And even after a few heavy personal loses her leadership and statesmanship shine through. Team Rhaenrya is definitely the underdog at the moment, but after some diplomacy goes very wrong.. IT. IS. ON!

But we'll have to wait until next season for it. Which looks to be coming out early 2024.

Jay and I really appreciate y'all being with us on this journey, as we started just here on Patreon cause we were scared of the big bad copyright enforcers, and then moved over to YouTube to share in the craziness that is this show. It's been a very up and down ride, and we were happy we got to experience it with all of you.

House of the Dragon S1E10 Watch Along

You are forgetting Caraxes, despite being smaller, Caraxes has the swiftness and lean shape to outmaneuver Vhagar, also he has a greater bond with Daemon than Vhagar has with Aemond, Daemon and Caraxes bond is so deep that Daemon doesn't even have to tell Caraxes what to do, he just knows.

So if i recall correctly, Vhagar, AKA The Dreadchonk™, is about 180 years old at this time and a little shy of Balerion's size when he died at around just over 200 years old. Balerion, Vhagar, and Meraxes (dead) were the "first generation" of Targaryen dragons, after the doom of Valyria anyway. The dragon Daemon is singing to is Vermithor, his grandfather Jaehaerys I's dragon (Jaehaerys I is "the old king" from the first episode). Vermithor is a "second generation" dragon, born of Vhagar, is about 100 years old now, and is only slightly smaller than Vhagar. Rhaenys's dragon Meleys is a "third generation" dragon, is about 75 years old, and is slightly smaller than Vermithor. Vermithor and Meleys are the only two living dragons that could go toe to toe with Vhagar 1v1 and have any chance alone. That would be why getting Vermithor a rider is rather important. If you can't have #1, well, it's better to have #2 AND #3 to counter.

Loved it. I just hope HBO learned to keep the commitment throughout all seasons and not drop the ball after we’re all hooked. It’s remarkable that they can rip your heartstrings with multiple gruesome & depressing child birth scenes that you soon sort of forget about because of the gripping storyline. Thanks guys✌️💚

If you rewatch ep2, and war with Stepstones is breaking out, Rhaenyra says to her father: “Send us”. — and Corlys said, “well at least the princess has a plan.” Rhaenyra saw herself in her sons, and knew what that felt like. And Sea Snake agreed it was a good idea, so she agrees. But it was hard to see Luke be sent. Hope we are done with her being so passive. And accidents are over. We need choices of intention. Been fun to see this world depicted!

Yeah you can tell Aemond didn't want to kill his nephew. Both dragons acted on instinct and didn't listen to either of their riders.

Some sad thoughts: - Rhaenyra trusted the boys just as she went after Daemon earlier in the season against the kings wishes - Arrax was just a nervous baby trying to defend young anxious Luke - Vhagar might be senile and killed Arrax who is probably her grandson dragon (since Vhagar had Dreamfyre who probably had Arrax I think)

Yes! I've been so excited to watch this today. Time to settle in and see this craziness.
