Prey Watch Along

Hey Peaches! The past few months have been pretty busy for us, with all the Marvel, Star Wars, and Netflix shows. Capping off with launching our cool new podcast, Fix It!, at our live Crowd Work event last week.  Needless to say we needed a little mental break.

But then this cool action movie we've been looking forward to came out, and we figured it'd be a great way to spend 90 mins. And what would make it even more fun would be to share it with the Peaches. So as a huge thank you for all the support so far this year, and in particular the past few months leading into Crowd Work, we thought we'd do a Prey Watch Along available to all the Peaches.

If you like this type of content, our Patreon is full of it. House of the Dragon and Rings of Power will be Patreon exclusive watch alongs because they're Animaniac shows. And they'll be available to all levels of the Patreon. And we have She Hulk, Andor and Cobra Kai coming up in the next few weeks as well.

Thanks again for being the best community on the internet!

Prey Watch Along

Comments

"Stop stabbing me in the same leg!" made me literally laugh out loud.

Ismael Martinez

Adam, three years later I’m hoping you’ve watch 10 Cloverfield Lane by now. Also, did you guys do a Cloverfield Watch Along?

Beawulfie

Oh I didn't even realize it was in the description, that makes a little more sense then. :) Hopefully they get a chance to watch it at least off-stream though. :) Definitely a good show. Though I was a HUGE fan of the graphic novels growing up so I"m biased. :)

FalcorDragon

I agree. I mean, I'm bummed and all, but I have no desire to grind my favorite reactors into a fine powder either. But I do agree, maybe editing that out of their patreon tier description would be a good move at this point. Just to avoid more comments on it.

Rae Bajak

While I understand, it directly says in their patreon teirs that they would be watching Sandman, so people being a bit annoyed is fair. That being said, their reasoning for not watching it is beyond fair, if they are exhausted they should take all the breaks they want and maybe they can watch it when they get some more time to do so. (They should probably change that in the tier description though, because it was the final nudge I needed to start the subscription, and if they aren't going to watch it, they shouldnt say they will, I'm glad I have it anyway, but still.)

Nimo-the-Red

100%, they should definitely take a break if they are feeling exhausted, but they should watch it when they feel up to adding a new show.

Nimo-the-Red

Really wish people would stop complaining about Sandman. At this point it's just getting disrespectful. They gave you a reason, there's only so much content they can produce without risking burnout. Please move on.

FiddleFaddle

Don't deny yourself the glory that is Sandman

Carlton

I have never been a huge Predator or Aliens fan, so I only watched this because of you guys. Man, that was a great video. SOOO glad it wasn't crazy long. They had a story and told it. Loved their ability to non-verbally tell a story. Well done! I hope you guys get a break and take it easy.

Kent

That was great, but you guys look exhausted. I'm bummed you're not going to do sandman, but I get it, you both need a breather.

sean orcutt

I was hoping you guys were going to do this movie, so glad you did! And if I'm being honest I would rather you guys do sandman instead of LOTR.

Scott Klages

Lucasfilm / Marvel need to be giving Mr. Trachtenberg a call. Just sayin’.

Aaron Becker

I honestly want a proper Naru/Predator team up film harkening back to Machiko from the comics.

Nick Delp

I came into this watch along with my snobbery level at 20 in regard to the Predator franchise. I have watched every predator and Alien versus Predator movie in the theaters, can't get some of that money back, but this movie I would gladly go rewatch if it's ever released in theaters. Visually stunning and the call back with the gun was awesome. I liked Predator 2 a lot and this gave more context why that predator gave Danny Glover the gun after he defeated the other predator. Also great tie in with the petroglyphs.

Tonio

That movie was amazing, and such a fun watchalong! I've never done a watchalong for my first viewing before, and I really enjoyed it. Probably the best part was I was clapping at the climax right before Jay clapped πŸ˜‚ Thanks for more quality content guys!

FiddleFaddle

I love this movie! Poor Ma & Pa beaver though πŸ˜‚. Hope they had home insurance πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

Joey (Hustlemando)

I'm so glad you did this one, it's an awesome movie

quirkygeekgirl

This was my first predator movie and it did not disappoint! Wowza! What a great flick! Also. That sweet dog! (He is a rescue from a shelter in the south-what a good boy!!!)

Sly

Agreed

Jason Marbach

Best predator movie ever and I’m a huge predator nerd

Seanjax30

The call backs were perfectly done

Seanjax30

By the way, if you watch the credits it shows the entire movie in cave paintings but then continues to show 3 predator ships descending on the village. Might just be an easter egg but give me them vs more predators PLEASE. Probably implies the answer of how the predators have that pistol in Predator 2 as well. This was so good. ps- For what it's worth Predators is good, just not this good.

Chris

By the way, that pistol she used, the one she tosses to the chief at the end of the movie, is from Predator 2. Same pistol, it has the same markings and such. I thought that was really neat, how they did that.

Jason Marbach

As far as this movie is concerned, I thought it was amazing. I feel like why it worked so well is because I BELIEVED every single strike and blow that happened in the movie. The way they set the protagonist up as a very believable, very smart badass (and established the Comanches writ large as badasses as well) was so. well. done. Even the frenchmen were handled very well. Of course they’re monsters, but they’re extremely capable ones. I have this movie even above the original predator film, and I think that’s because even as much as a shredded badass as Arnold is (duh) I still believe that character at some point had a drive-through cheeseburger. Know what I mean? Folks in 1719 (especially Comanche folks) were just on a different level as hunters and survivors.

Jason Marbach

For what it's worth I feel the same way guys. Im skipping Sandman for now as well.

William Smith

I’m not the only one in the band camp here but sandman would be a fun one for this crowd especially!!

Dakota Jones

You guys work like directly next to a police station, fire station or a hospital. Maybe next is sound proofing that room a bit. lol Love the content otherwise! πŸ˜ƒ

Mark Larson

Me too, they did every trailer, I felt certain it would happen, money poorly spent the story of my life.

Ryan

I joined patreon for the Sandman content. I thought it was a sure thing 😞

Mikaela Tyrrell

So I guess that’s a No for The Sandman then, oh well.

Ryan

oh man. just watched this amazing movie this morning...gonna have to watch it with you guys as well :)

Garrett Mazzuca

Hate to hear y'all are tired and you definitely deserve a break. Selfishly, I wish y'all had foregone something like umbrella academy or even the marvel or star wars stuff and done sandman instead, though, because sandman is so far beyond almost any other program y'all have done this whole year in terms of quality. It's just on a different level, up there with Arcane. But for sure, hope y'all have a nice rest and come back refreshed. Much love.

Jason Marbach

Will Sandman be a Patreon exclusive as well, or are you still waiting to hear the consensus if it's worth doing? (I want to cast a vote for "it was worth watching")
