Stranger Things S4E07 Watch Along
Added 2022-06-14 16:00:08 +0000 UTCHey Peaches! We did it! And in record time too, I think. We've successfully gotten through part 1 of season 4 of Stranger Things. Whew, I'm exhausted. Praise be to the Comma and to Grace for helping us get through in a timely fashion.
Here we go, Team Steve is stuck in the Upside Down, Team Dustin just got caught by the cops. And Team Mike, not appearing in this episode. Cool effects, clever interactions, and a truly mind blowing reveal. You've seen us explode in laughter, screams, and tears. Get ready to watch our brains liquify as we discover what really happened/what's going on.
July can't get here fast enough. But also, the last two episodes are basically 2 movies, so we could use a little break :)

The way he was falling into the upside down with nothing there makes me believe he built this utopian world for himself until 11 made contact and reopened the gate. OR my other theory is that the Russians actually had a portal opened before but when EL closed the gate in season 2 it closed their gate and that is why we see them in the very beginning of season 3 trying to reopen their gate. Which is why they went to Hawkins to open that one again, THUS allowing Vecna to use Billy and the whole town to form that big monster in season 3. Billy did say to EL in season 3 that he/mind flair did this just for her WHICH makes me believe it connects back to ONE/VENCA and knowing she was the only one that could stop him from taking over the world like he wanted too. I hope this rant made sense LOL

2022-06-15 00:39:40 +0000 UTCIn reference to the power/challenge ratings, I think that was an intentional misdirect by the writers and a nod to the dnd nerds, who know where Vecna truly is on the hierarchy of big bads. Knowing that the majority of the audience probably isn't as well versed as others, it buys them an extra bit of time to deliver the reveal.

I think Vecna has had his fingers 'in the pie' so to speak since the beginning, slowly coming to terms with his new surroundings, waiting to strike at the right time with maximum effect. He definitely wants to get back to the normal realm and re-shape the world.... Round 2 with 011 coming up.

2022-06-14 21:51:20 +0000 UTCI feel like the explanation around the Upside Down being stuck in time in 1983, Henry/001/Vecna getting sent there in 1979, the Upside Down existing and acting without hinting at Vecna at all - all that almost fits together, like, it almost makes sense, but not yet fully. I'm looking forward to the next two episodes giving us some more answers, but I fear that we will only fully grasp the picture once season 5 is done.
