Back to the Future Batman

Brad

I wish they would do movies they haven't watched before

quirkygeekgirl

Labrynth, Princess Bride, Dark Crystal, Goonies

Dr. Tracy Smith

Princess Bride is always my #1. Also great: Blues Brothers, Stripes, Arthur, Money Pit, and A Fish Called Wanda. There are lots✌️💚

Trish Murphy

And for some reason Dabney Coleman popped into my head, so Cloak and Dagger and Wargames.

Matty Murakami

Lots of suggestions for Clue and Real Genius, and I own both, so yes! I second Better Off Dead and One Crazy Summer. Like Father like Son, The Goonies (of course), Pee Wees Big Adventure, Some Kind of Wonderful, Lucas, and while not necessary prank-related, one of the most underrated 80's movies - Three o'Clock High.

Matty Murakami

Clue, real genius

K.M.

Top Secret

Randy Bain

Princess Bride!!

Megan Lloyd

Ferris Buellers Day off Weird Science My Science Project Major League Goonies Caddyshack National Lampoons Vacation

Captain C the Game Master

Clue is the obvious choice. That entire movie is a prank on the audience :D

Errolowl

Batman 1989 Big Trouble in Little China Flash Gordon Clue Goonies

GOROK

A Fish Called Wanda would be amazing!

Audrey Mozdzen

Romancing the Stone Crocodile Dundee Moonstruck A Fish Called Wanda Heathers Parenthood

Donald Gossett

Oh and hi! Long time watcher, first time commenter. It took The Legend of Vox Machina to finally get me to join you guys on Patreon.

Aquitaine

9 to 5 Short Circuit Midnight Run Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. And, while they aren't strictly speaking comedies, I have to put in a plug for The Beastmaster and Ladyhawke because I love them in all of their 1980s cheesiness.

Aquitaine

quirkygeekgirl

Clue, Johnny Dangerously, Weekend at Bernie’s, and Ghostbusters

Jason Graf

Neither of which are comedies. My bad. Some of the other suggestions had thrown me off the actual genre we were supposed to choose from.

Ross Pittam

Think all the bases have been covered but I'll throw in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Predator for consideration

Ross Pittam

Don't make me choose between caddy shack and clue

Krull (As a "science fantasy swashbuckler" with multiple comedic roles and moments, could qualify lol) As always; I hope it's something you've never seen, nothing like a first time reaction to a classic. Look forward to your selections - loads of good stuff in the comments!

Matt Newmark
